Its nice to see more people running VVT cams. What heads did you go with? Do you have a converter? What rpm is the idle set at?

good questions above.
THese kind of fell off the map when TXSpeed didn't post around here as much. I for one miss all of the research Jason98ta posts or did post. They got slammed on here a bunch for no reason. Glad to see you dig it.

Kaler.Would you have any chance to remember how the VVT-3 feels in WOT compare to bolt-on?I had AFM-3 fitted and feels not much faster in high RPM range (4000-6500) than my BOLT-on before, got it tuned 3 times from ted and data logging pretty fine.Whats could be the problem? I do feels pretty good from 1000-4000 through.

I think the more people start having faith in this technology and using these cams the more impressed they will be with them.

As for the question above, with me, there is a major difference. It pulls hard all through the rpm range!! I've been slacking and haven't done a converter and still have my out of box tune with no refinements so I'm sure there is even more there.

My Dad is having his retuned by the shop that put his in. RMP's are moving way to much we found out! Shop is going to work on smoothing it out for him.

My good god that sounds good. It's loud, but the idle is downright nasty.

Thanks guys I appreciate it, to answer of your questions, it drives pretty rough right now but I'm geting it tuned and getting a 3200stall converter soon, my idle is set to 950 in drive, I had my stock heads ported as much as possible that's why it took so long, took him two and half weeks to finish it plus I did the whole cam install with some buddys in my garage. But it doesn't drive to bad for a cammed car without a tune.
