I think they send you a file via email, you copy it to a flash USB drive and plug it into the USB port on the harness.

I have the scoshe kit...love it. especially the screen. It lights up and looks very hi tech. It looks way better in person, and seems absolutely stock. Hands down way better then the metra that looks like my sons kindergarten play toy. To each his own but I am very happy with the kit. I am running the top of the line 800 ndt jvc unit. I should of done this mod from day one.

My Alpine dash kit was 299 and it has the steering wheel controls interfaced in it. Which work perfectly.

Got my Scosche kit in to find out my setup botton sticks. The steering wheels controls there is an adapter that has to be install to make them work. My tech guy is order that part. Im using the Metra radio kit with backup camera option but havent got that to work yet.

i didnt follow you. So your scosche kit didnt work because setup button sticks but yet your tech is saying your SWC is not working. You need to run the setup for the SWC to be activated. SCW is part of the unit lready so not sure what your tech guy is doing. Also you fell back on the metra dash kit and it also is not working? If all this is true bummer for you my friend but maybe u need a diff installer? just saying

Too many mixed reviews for me to be comfortable enough to upgrade my factory setup.

All of the aftermarket kits have their flaws but what u gain in terms of navigation, dvd player, touch screen functions, better sound quality, etc.... More than out weighs the negatives. And u Jus might luck up and get a trouble free kit metra or scosche
