To the OP, thanks for posting up the info. It's nice to see what the ZL1 can do on tires! Awesome time!
the zl1 just came out. give it a little time.

Freaking sweet 60' for a stock converter. I wonder what it would do with a 3200-3600 converter and all other stuff the same.

Except for the fact that it is still slower than the current GT500's. 10 has run 11.37 at 124 and the 11(100lbs lighter) has run 11.1 at 124.

The ZL1 is a great car, however I thought is was going to be faster than the current competition?
Come on man, give it some time. Its only been out on the streets for a few weeks and this car specifically with less than 500 miles. Once there broken in and guys get some wheel time, the times will improve. Also remember how well rounded this vehicle is. Im pretty sure it will smoke the current GT500 on a course and as far as daily driver, well lets not even go there. The fact its running as fast (likely faster) in the 1/4 is pretty darn amazing.

Looking at the timeslip, DA at that time and location is::

Density Altitude: -1249 feet

Correct that time to sea level and you get:
11.553 @ 119.691 MPH

Fact is the air will not get much better than this pass nor will the 60' for a stock ZL1. This will more than likely go down as one of the "hero" runs for tire only.

The time you posted 11:11 is very suspect. Go into your SVT forum and there is a thread on 11/12 GT500 1/4 mile times. Most of the responses are no where close to low 11s even with tunes, pulley swaps, and tires. Maybe the owner has a factory freak of a car? But the 500 has had over 2 years to produce it's benchmark, the ZL1 3 weeks. Drivers will figure out exactly how this car wants to run. Owners will begin to remove weight, just as the 5.0s and 500s owners do. This car will get faster.

Every time is suspect to most people unless they see it with their own EYES humans are a see to believe race. I dont really believe most times unless I see them with my EYES also... Or do it myself that's just how it works out for the most part.

That's why video with timeslip is the only real method to quell dis-belief.

I am still disappointed that we can't be presented with all the facts when times are posted. DA is a perfect example. Fuel used is another. Tires another. Ported heads/blower another....

Anywho, all said, I think this is the most honest timeslip post so far. Need more examples like this.
