i believe he meant "OVERheating problems"

I feel like this thread has gone on long enough with no real substance.

This is a prime example of someone taking something out of context from something they read on the internet.

The reason that the car has no grill is because the new motor needs more air to keep it cool ,but it has never mentioned that the car is having heating problems.

I believe too that this thread has run it's course, but who am I to make that call.

By all means, let's close it then so someone can start a new one with a similar topic. I mean, if a thread has really run its course, it tends to dry up from lack of new posts all by itself.

Thank goodness I paid a measly 450 dollars to hook all this power up... now alot of people see my tail lights Now when I get a TVS I will be needing something better than these little nittos. Gotta love slapping a supercharger on a car and getting 200 rwhp consistantly.

I read an article in one of the car rags, it was talking about the soft top being speed limited for safety, with the coupe being limited as well without the trackpak due to driveline heat at high speeds.

Cheif engineer Jamal Hameedi has already stated the GT500 coupe will not be electronically speed limited with or without the performance pack or the track pack.

I'll assume this was directed at my post. Substance was the key word there... this whole thread is hypothetical after hypothetical. Lets see some real world results. Proof!

Not true about the coupe. They are all limited the same regardless of packages or options which is 200MPH+.

There is no way of really knowing that until the car is released. To me it makes perfect sense to limit the speed without proper cooling, if for nothing else only for warranty reasons.

You're free to believe whatever you want but insinuating the the car does not have proper cooling when you have nothing to back the claim up is the definition of hearsay.

Speaking of mass, there will also be a convertible version of the GT500, as before. And though, theoretically, any 2013 Shelby should have the muscle to hit 200 mph, Ford will govern the top speed of the convertible to 155 mph or so, the current Shelby’s speed limit. The heavier convertible has a softer suspension and no rollover hoop. It’s also likely that the Shelby coupe without the Performance and Track packages may be governed, due to cooling issues—the Track package adds engine-, transmission-, and differential-lubricant coolers. After all, SVT says the Shelby coupe weighs 3850 pounds, and its powertrain generates a lot of  heat.

Believe what you want ,but facts are the facts and the coupe is not limited regardless of svt group or track pack til 200MPH+.
