Weird. I want to see the date on the drivers door sticker and RPO sticker. The date on the build sheet could be okay since it may be the broadcast date.

Does this denote the interior color? I ordered same car with Black interior and my VIN is listed as 1EW.

The VIN digits do indeed denote the trim level but they do not represent the build "order" number(s). My VIN is 2G1FT1EW6A9100074.

1ES37= 1SS
1ET37= 2SS

Look at your workbench. It will show 1ET37 signifying you ordered a 2SS.

Thank you. Most likely it is not the reason for the holdup. The VIN digits 2G1FT1 correctly identify the car as a manual 2SS. Even the temporary window sticker says 2SS on it. I spoke with Selena who also has one of the early VINs and she said her invoice was 5 days behind the car shipping from Pontiac. Difference is that in her case she had a 9 day delivery from Pontiac to Texas so it didn't matter. My delivery from Pontiac was the following day.

I cant believe you still don't have your car!! Now it's sit on your dealers lot without an invoice...do you have visitation rights?? Classic Fail GM!!

What can go wrong next?? GM terminates your dealership today....the car then ends-up in bankruptcy protection and ships back to GM?? I hope not, but I'm taking bets as this soap opera continues!!

Well, still no invoice but I got a little more info. When these early cars go to bailment they become the jurisdiction of QA. QA has not released the car to accounting even though they obviously released the car for shipping; figure that one out. In any case, Joe Basil himself has now made this his personal mission so we'll see how it goes. Stay tuned.
