I only have my phone but I will get an idle video tonight. Sound wise its not overbearing (could be attributed to the highflows and VT Muffers) but has a very nice lope, shakes a little lol. I am loving it so far, specially Gears 2-4

How's the low speed drivability? I know it's all in the tune, but I'd still like to know what your experience has been like.

Ehh...Low speed is fine as long as you can balance the throttle with the appropriate gear, once the rpm's dip below1400 or so there is some surging but NOTHING that is hard to drive..Alot of it is in the tune but you still have to keep it from starving lol..it once gas

Honestly man, it's not hard to drive at all, I was really worried about parking lots but it was cake once I figured out where it would surge, also we got a clutch for a reason lol..

Heads and Ported intake manifold and SLP Underdrive pulley are next

The way my car ran yesterday, I honestly think I can see 510-515 NA with the above mentioned parts I am looking at next and the 231/236 isn't THAT large of a CAM.

Low end tuning is the key to a fun car. Dont waste money on porting the stock intake manifold. If you said porting the stock heads, Id say go for it. Porting the stock manifold doesnt produce as much per dollar spent.

So you traded in the 6 and went for the 8?! I moved back to TX about 6 months ago and have been thinking about doing the same. You may not remember me but you bought my springs. I am thinking about going with the exact same setup in an SS. How do you like it? The stupid question I will get slapped for is, is the cost and all the extras worth the upgrade? All I need is a yes and the 6 is outta.

Bro I do remember you. Night and Day!

I went with the 12' 1SS/RS using USAA and was able to swing the GM Military Buy program as well (even though fine print says no) as well as them giving me 21k trade in on my 1LT (which is unheard of for a 10'). I was OTD @ 27k so my payments literally went up like 90$ a month.

To me it was absolutely worth it. Even though its the same general style the SS just has a more aggressive appearance. The additional power is VERY noticeable the my V6 was very respectable, it was not even close.

Now you have the chance to get a 13' with all the cool shit (mylink, new shifter etc..) or even a 12' leftover. If I had the means I would not hesitate

Now to the Cons: My MPG went from 22 to 15 city..now after the CAM/Headers I am @ 11.9 or thereabouts. That is going to take some getting use to, but again I wouldnt trade it. The sound and the additional 110RWHP is ALOT of fun lol.

That's exactly what I thought you might say. I was close to getting a 1SS before the 2LT but decided a loaded V6 with 304 hp would do the trick. Especially after the Injen, MRT v2, etc. Now I'm thinking I should have gone with the SS. I'm ready to do it now, especially with the HUD and gauge upgrade that makes them usable. The old needles are too fat to know what's happening. Sending a PM.

Birm I am thinking of going with a set up a lot like what you have. I drive my car on some pretty long road trips in the summer. So I have to think about mpg on the freeway. How much does it hurt the mpg?

Sounds good. Had to turn down the volume on the computer it was so loud.

I was looking at all your mods in your sig...don't think you care, but you have vararam power wedge listed 2x.

Running a similar setup but I think I have a slightly smaller cam. Cam out with great numbers on a mustang dyno. 476hp and 455tq.

Congrats on the new cam!
