Fuel Rail Gauges

New to this whole forum thing, does anyone know if there are gauges available for the stock LS3 block? Thanks!

Like that you could mount on the fuel rail? Why not just get an AEM gauge and mount it in the cabin?

Why? You plan on a major HP increase? Just to look cool/important?

Major fire hazard if you ask me. the gauge port on the rail was not meant for a gauge to be permanently attached, if it or the gauge springs a leak it will be time to get the marshmallows out. I know lots of people have run them for many years with no issues but I've seen them go bad.

I have a gauge on my fuel rails, and really like it. If installed correctly, it's not a hazard any more than any other fuel system component. No regrets here!!!

Serves no purpose other then potentially leaking fuel onto your motor and creating a potential fire hazard. You've got a pulsed pcm fuel system. What good could possibly come from a gauge like this.

Well if you keep a midget under your hood with a flashlight and a cellphone he can call you and tell you if your pressure drops.

Thanks for all the advice! I am looking to possibly have the car tuned, cammed, upgraded injectors possibly, idk if the stock 47lb LS7 ones are enough, and just to give it a nice readout of pressure under the hood. I want to avoid having anything in the cabin for reasons of leaving it appearing bone stock, and i dont want to make any holes or drill into anything if i dont have to. Not really comfortable with liquids running into the cabin. Dont wanna change A-Pillar either. Heard its nasty to take off!

Thanks all!

p.s is there ANY downside to gettin tuned? decrease engine life, etc. mpg, etc. pros/cons?

Never realized our LS3 and L99 engines ran such wimpy rail pressures if all you would need is a 0-100psi gauge. Then again we are talking gas engines.

You do not need upgraded injectors with your planned mods. The stock injectors will work just fine, at least up to about 550-600 RWHP.

The only downside to getting a tune is the loss of your powertrain warranty. You can count on that being gone....permanently.

The fuel gauge I bought from Aeromotive has a male 1/8-npt (pipe thread) fitting sticking out the back of it, as most fuel gauges do. I also bought a 45 degree adapter fitting from Summit Racing.
