I saw two Camaro's at DM today that I've never seen before. This seems to happen a lot, but these were unique. One was black with pink RS stripes. Yeah, they were really pink. I think whoever she is, she pulled it off nicely. But I don't know about that resale value.

I also saw a black Camaro with grey stripes and a very large spoiler. It might even count as a wing. Texas plates so not sure if he's TDY here. Anyone else know who they are? It seems like I only see these cars in motion, so haven't been able to slip them a card.

Will, you should have your salesman drive you up there to pick it up. That has been done before. You just drive it back to the dealer and have them do the PDIM. Just a thought.

I can wait. I have been doing it since December. To be honest I'm surprised that my dealership was able to get one. It was just one of those freak things that happened.

They said the car just arrived at the rail yard today, my rep said that it takes about 48 to 72 hours for it to be processed into the distrabution yard and then it will get sent out. Normally it takes 4 to 5 days once it hits Phoenix, to get down to Sierra Vista.

I'm betting though that my dealership general manager is calling in all his favors to bring the car down sooner. He's that type of guy. So who knows, maybe I'll have it this weekend.

I saw her once, she is a SrA. I gave her a card but I got the look like I was a stalker or just a crazed lunatic.

The same thing happened when my vert hit Phoenix. As soon as the General Manager heard it would sit in the yard for a week, he made some calls and had it on a truck that afternoon. That's the only reason mine made it here before the Allied Trucking strike that started the next day, and was the first vert delivered in Tucson.

Took HPDE1 course last October (classroom and ride along instructor) and liked it so much I'm doing it again. Got approved to drive in faster groups, but I want to learn as much as I can and my instructor was a hoot! Inde has private memberships, but they are really pricey (the owner has jets for lawn ornaments). Best way to get on the track is to join some racing organization and NASA AZ has several events in the region. For the HPDE events, you just need to pass a basic tech inspection and have a Snell approved helmet. PM me if you want more details. This event is a bit different since HPDE1 is sponsored by the BMW CCA. $195 for 4 20 minutes sessions on the track, classroom instruction, and 2 meals. If I remember correctly, the NASA license was $45 for a year and the event fee was around $150.
Won't be able to make it down this weekend but this definitely sounds like something I could get into. How often do you guys go? After paying the membership, is it $150 per event? Whens the next time you'll be going?

I just looked through my old e-mails. Membership was $49 for a year and the previous event at Inde last October was $169. This will be my 4th time on a track, but only the 2nd time with NASA. First time was a grand opening event at Inde and the second was at Camaro 5 Fest II. I plan on going 1-2 times a year. Maybe by the next NASA event at Inde this coming October, I will have a Pfadt suspension, sticky times, and a car hauler. Might be a tough sell at home after the cam upgrade last fall.

Awesome, have fun! Only been down a couple times, but every run is definitely a rush. I've found that the guys working there are real nice and informative, so don't be afraid to ask any questions--most people there aren't pros anyway. Make sure to post how you do!
