You, sir, are an idiot. First, if any of this was clear, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Secondly, you know nothing about my passion for this car nor the fact that I sold my SS a YEAR ago to start saving for a ZL1, which I will own even if it runs 13's on average. (insert gasp here).

I've called no one a liar. Rather, I have pointed out, along with others, the mis-management of information. If you have nothing to offer but assumption and false innuendo, you are of no benefit to this thread.

Well there you go again. You said they put "RINGERS" in the hands of media at VIR and Now here you go again, saying they are once again not being truthful with the public. A little harsh don't you think?

I must agree clearly make a video with a slip or the lights after the run to show this. And it will clear the air.

And yes wtf man i want to hear the car not some damn music even if it is my favorite band...

GM marketing did this with the lsx454 as well. yeah you can take a stock lsx454 throw a power adder on it and have 1300 hp. Someone does just that and the thing blows up and they wont even warranty it.... Good Job guys...

But i know marketing personnel are like politicians full of sheet.

In a perfect world with perfect people, we will have perfect cars. We are not in a perfect world, so therefore we don't have perfect people, and will never have perfect cars. That being said, ZL1 owners, be happy with your ride. You GT500 owners, be happy with your ride. No matter what your ride is, be happy with it and if you're not happy with it, get a better ride. I want a better ride and I will get one, but no matter how much money I spend on it, IT will never be perfect or perform as they advertise. It may be better or it may be worse. But if it's the ride you've wanted and waited to get, nothing will stop you from obtaining it. Who care's if a car has or has not performed as advertised, talking about the ZL1 here, the owner's are happy with it and I, for sure, will be happy once I get my hands on one. YES....I am a Camaro guy.

The 11.93-second ET in a stock ZL1 tested by the engineers wore the factory-issued Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G:2 tires developed specifically for it, putting the car only a scant 0.44-second away from that additional racing safety requirement"

This is so clear, 11.93 on the stock Goodyears. The above quote even talks about times with DR's being 11.49 or quicker. Why are people so confused? They stated they brought the DR's along to make sure the rear end and driveline can handle them without problem. You’re crazy, or ignorant, if you think the best time after running all day was only 11.93 on DR's. Its CLEAR, without confusion that these times were ran on 100% stock, off the showroom ZL1's.

I don't even think that article was attached when the post started. It got edited a time or 2. It just had a video link and the 11.93 time claim?
Then some other site claimed it was done on DR's.
http://www.lsxtv.com/news/video-gm-e...-drag-radials/

And the video isn't clear about it, so all that caused confusion. They could have done a much better job and mentioned the 11.93 was done on stock tires in the video.

INSIDE LINE UPDATE:
**Update: We contacted GM to clear up a few things: The car was running a full tank of 93 octane fuel (which was depleted by about half by the time the car hit the 11.93) and they were running tire pressures of about 25 -- down from stock pressure -- on the G:2 tires. The automatic transmission equipped car ran the 11.93, but the manual which ran 11.96 did so without launch control.**

Basically no modifications means adjusting only the tire pressure!!!

WOW! I was wrong here... I would think the new Lauch control would help to achieve better times, but not!
Congrats!

Well, if that is the case, then these F1:G2's must really hook up when heated!
