This is a worrisome statement, 426 HP and a prom date is a bigger responsibility. Is he ready for that!

Let him take it to prom, he will be more worried than you about the car because he is going to want to prove to his dad that he is responsible. Just tell him not to look like a show off, be modest and classy about it (that will also gain him a lot of respect from his date

). Just make sure he DOES NOT take it to any after parties! That becomes a receipt for disaster!

Last Saturday was my high school prom. No problems!

I he is taking it... there was no doubt about that.. The people on this thread who doubt his judgment..don't know him.. You are right JP he wouldn't want to disappoint me. He wants to prove to me he can be trusted to be responsible. He doesn't realize I already feel that way about him. And for those waiting for the next day thread, I won't start another but I will update on this one.

Nice work dad. Ive been to a few proms when I was younger. Did the whole limo thing, stretch limos, hummer limos, all that stuff. My most memorable prom was when my girlfriend at the times dad pulled me aside and handed me the key to his 2006 Aston Martin Vantage. I was too afraid to even go over the speed limit. It made for a night to remember though. You know your kid better than anybody else. If you were comfortable enough to let him take your precious ride then I'm sure everything is going to be just fine.
