I went to update my Dads front radar today and said the 90 days expired. Should he get a sub or can he go fine with out one? If he did get a Sub would it cover on 1?

Found out it work's,lol. Smoky Bear did not even pull out, he could not, or was just wanting everyone to slow down. People where going 80 in a 65. Was sitting there and he had his gun on the outside of the car. Never seen that before. Went off well ahead of time and did not see anything, then came around a bend and there he was sitting on the right side of the lane with flashes on..

I have the Passport 9500 (Blue), and it's done quite well.

However, there have been two situations where it never went off. Both times I was doing 15 over and got pulled over.

It does pick up laser, and I've had that go off. I am not sure how these two officers tagged me, and I even called Passport to ask if there was a new band it wasn't scanning. They said no.

Still, I raounded a left hand corner on 101 just north of the Oregon border and a cop was about 1/8th of a mile ahead of me. 1 second later he turned on his lights. Never heard a peep.

The other one was from behind, and again...got nothing...I think he was on an overpass.

Gotten real annoying around here latley, on 280 south from Oregon, they got radar up on the light poles every mile, I guess to just moniter general speed of folks heading to and leaving the turnpike.

But its like driving past a 50 mile strip mall, just keeps going off.

Yeah, your detector is great until one of us is using LIDAR.... normally if your detector goes off at all, it only tells you when you are busted. The others on here were correct its like using a scoped weapon to clock you and its extremely accurate (I've clocked people in excess of 2200 ft nearly a 1/2 mile), plus the laser is certified to clock you coming toward or going away from the officer...warning do not speed back up too soon after you pass one using laser because he may still be watching you if you were close to his/her limit on your approach (especially those of us with aftermarket exhaust...because it attracts attention) good luck and drive carefully

Lol, My Sister and my Dad where taking his car to IPS this am in Ohio and got pulled over going 88. Radar did not go off. She called me.

Lol, I called my Sister and she said the Radar went off and Said Laser on it. My Dad told her she was getting pulled over and she did. Was a 81 in a 65, not 88, $179
