Is this a good plan for 2011 2lt?
Hi,
I found a 2011 2lt rs package (with sunroof) that I like with 11,xxx miles at a dealership about 2.5 hours away. They are asking $28k for it. I have never bought my own car, so I am a little unsure of how this will work. I am thinking about offering $26k out the door for the car, which includes a trade-in of my volvo s70. I am hoping to get at least $2k trade-in value for my volvo, which would lower the price to be paid in cash to $24k. Further, I was planning on using the $1000 - $1500 rebate that GM is offering as the private offer which would then bring the price down to 22.5k or 23k. Does this seem reasonable? Does it work this way? My logic is that they're getting ready to take in the new 2013s and probably want to get rid of the 2011 models. I just do not want to be laughed out of the dealership and have wasted 6 hours of my life driving. Thanks |

11,xxx miles and it's new? Rebates only apply to new vehicles, not used vehicles.

Make to offer and see what they say... If they don't meet the numbers you want then go find another dealer that has other Camaros. If you're looking in a 2.5 hour radius of you...the surely there are many other dealers selling Camaros.
