Add a magnaflow resonator X-Pipe. Might get more power too. I did.

I was thinking of getting the same headers. I already have a mrt v2 with a bbk xpipe. My bbk xpipe will help prevent the same rasp right?

I don't think the bbk xpipe is resonated so I don't believe it will help. The res x from magnaflow is listed as muffler on their site. It really an xpipe with a muffler around it which is why it works.

no room for magnaflo because my mufflers are centrally located. i am looking to add something to the rear area where the old mufflers used to be.

there is an X pipe in my exhaust but its not a resonted x pipe.

Yes...go for the magnaflow resonated X pipe (muffler) part # 11386 and have a shop replace the current X in your setup with it if you can. It will help with rasp and loudness for sure

Is this what it is?

I can see how getting a magnaflow resonated X in there could be tight. Looks like two resonators or small round mufflers after that.

You could look up the dimensions of the magnaflow resonated X with the part number I provided above and see if that would fit. Otherwise I'd suggest adding a couple resonators near the end if not a pair of full mufflers....but then you are completely changing the system and you will need to decide for yourself what mufflers to go with.
