Now for the stories...

Since I am at work and have nothing better to do

I left the dealership at around 4:30 on Friday afternoon. As I was cruising around I noticed a car show was going on in one of the shopping mall parking lots near by. (They do this about every other Friday during the warm months). So I thought to myself, Self...I wonder how well they will accept us up there?? So I went and picked up my 10 year old son and headed back to the car show. This is an informal type of show with all kinds of cars old and new.

As we pulled into the driveway, ALL eyes were on us ( well actually the Camaro, but I was driving

) As we got into the lot kids with cell phone cameras were taking pictures, people were pointing. Immediate attention!!!! Well I did a NO NO. I parked in the lot next to where the car show was going on. Before I could get out of my beast, there were about 12 people surrounding the car. I could not open the door. There was a nice lady, around 60 years old or so, standing at my window. She politely told me that I have to move my car into the lot with the show cars. I told her that I have never done anything like this and I would just leave it there. She wouldn't let me out of the car until I agreed to move it.

So I moved it. Parked right between a 66 Mustang that was for sale and what appeared to be a late 50's early 60's model vehicle, didn't catch anything else on it though. No sooner than I stepped out of the car, we were bombarded with questions. We were the star of the show.

This car has such great appeal, everyone loves it...I know I do.

Was Kevin your salesman? He's the one in your third pic, touching the mail slot. He is my girlfriends cousin....

Glad to hear they took good care of ya. Ed Dunton called me about 2 weeks ago offering me a 1LT for MSRP, so I'm not sure when they started price gouging....

Of course I told him I would settle for no less than a 2SS!! Plus I kinda like where my order is...

I stopped by McCluskey Chevrolet yesterday and they've got the V6 version of your car sitting in the showroom along with a 1st gen.

Your a brave person with that car,I took my 02SS to a couple of shows in Fl.
one kinda like what you did and some people have no respect for others started walking around to look at other cars and come back had to run some guys off leaning up on the car,another time somebody wanted to look inside turned the volume all the way up on the stereo without asking while I was in the car some real stupidASSES out there,makes me wonder sometimes if it's worth the trouble
