Fiber Optics would have been smarter to use since it doesn't get as hot..Apparently the LED's used in the Camaro ABL test vehicles melted the dash after long drives which is why they pulled it..

It's one of those things I could live without---my future 2ss dosen't really need ABL. I probably will like it once I have it but really, I don't need ABL.

i still dont see the point. Is it cool maybe but do I need it to, is it worth the money NO.. I mean when i am driving im not going to really care either are people looking at it.

I haven't seen the ambient lighting in person but I bet that if it did go across the dashboard like it was supposed to there'd be about an inch that wasn't lit where the door crack is and that would look worse than having the dashboard totally dark. And I wonder if the lighted dashboard would be distracting when you were driving too.

I dont want it. I dont get the point of it. I want a big engine in a light weight car that goes fast. Everything else is fluff.

It can't be any more distracting than the stupid nav screens people shell out thousands of dollars for these days.

nevertheless, the 2010 mustang i sat in, just had small little round wholes that the light came out of, it looked like LEDs, and changing the color would be fun to have a new color, everyday, for about a week...till it got old.

what i was trying to say, is that the camaro puts a new twist on it by having a strip of light, not just holes for the light to come out

Certainly! Just order the IOM interior package and you get orange lighting.

As far as other colors or aftermarket options, I have no clue.
