The debate can go on and on .. the thing that is GREAT about the 03/04 cobras and the Gt500's are the built engine from the factory. You can take it stock and then just up the boost (or throw another charger on there and up the boost).

For the Current Camaro V8, to effectively keep up with the Jones's, you would have to build the block as well and then give it some good boost. The good thing is you can see with some low boost, the cars can still make over 500rwhp .. I'd say that even at 6psi and a very good tune .. even if you made only 500rwhp, it will last..

personally, I wouldnt go with either... but thats just cus I hate Roush. I can respect their work, but I have personal reasons not to ever go with them.

The second super charger only makes up to 435 or something, which is far less than the 500 horses on the gt500. should trade in your car and get a gt500 unless you plan on spending at least 10 grand.
Don't forget that the GT enjoys a significant weight advantage over the GT500. If I was in the OP's position, I'd look up the numbers and guesstimate how many HP I needed to match the GT500's lbs/HP (and lbs per foot/lbs too).
