LS Ordered - Am I The First?

I placed my deposit for a black LS with grey interior, manual transmission. Only option I want is floor mats. Dealer is at MSRP of $23.100. Deposit of $500. Courtesy Chevrolet in Phoenix, AZ, salesman David Blankinship. I can actually walk to the showroom from my house, about three blocks.

Can't remember seeing anybody else ordering this model, which blows me away. There's a whole lot of stuff to like about it and I don't need any of the bells and whistles on higher priced models. I happen to think the Heritage wheels are cool looking and the black exterior makes it all match.

Just need an OBD-II scanner and someone who knows how to use it to remove the speed limiter, after finding some Z-rated tires, that is. Oh, and $29.99 for the skip-shift eliminator for the manual, too.

I'm thinking it will be around Christmas before I see it...if I'm lucky...

I think there may be 2 more of us on here, 1LS abm with auto. Im sitting at 3000 so hopefully not much longer... glad to see theres aomeone alse that agrees with me that even the LS is well optioned!

i ordered a 2ss/rs mostly cause at this time i have a great job and i can really afford it and i decided if i am gonna order a car like this might as well go all the way. but i have to agree with both of you. the ls is still a sharp car and all the v6 camaros are still stout hotrods and you will love it just the same as us v8 guys and get better mileage. congrats on your orders.

i sold my 08 silverado to order this car and have been driving a 95 s10 2.2 5sp for 8 months now, great gas mileage buuuuut, at this point a 10 speed Schwinn feels like a Lamborghini! I think we will be very happy with our orders!

i was guna get an ls but the tires on that car are HORRIBLE so i went up to a 1lt bbut i didnt get any options.

For two it's the same tires silly you mean wheels.

I speced a LS IOM, Manual with black stripes and floor mats. MSRP was 23895 and supplier was 23243. I am trying to decide go with the LS and keep the Z 06 or sell the Z 06 and go all out 2SS/RS

Oh and I think the steel wheels are cool!

It's just that I'd been lurking around for a while, but hadn't seen anybody with an "LS" in their signature (which reminds me...). Or maybe I haven't been paying proper attention.

One of the reasons I liked my Scion back five years ago when new, was that there really wasn't much to add to it. I ordered floor mats, wheels (shouldn't have) and a strut tower bar (good juju). So it's pretty much the same for the LS for me. It's got what I need, and then some. And I have decent resale value from the xB. Don't really care if I do when I'm done with the Camaro.

Here's a whacky (to me) example of a Chevy Corvette optioning thing that's just odd: Order the standard coupe. Do you want the glass top? That's $XX extra. But you don't get the painted top...and I'm talking like $700 extra. Want BOTH tops, you greedy pirate? That's something like $1200...ummm, what??? Can't you just order the glass top later? Ohhhh, then it costs $1500...ha ha ha (made up $).

Hey, I know what I'm gettin' here. None of those reindeer games. At least not anything at all until, maybe, oh, I don't know...I may be a year older. Or two...

At least I won't be the only one at McDonald's in Scottsdale on Indian Bend (in case you were wondering where to go in Scottsdale...) by the time it rolls in.

Well i also did order the LS but i ended up changing the order and making it a 1 lt just because i like the fog lights and the other stuff it comes with plus i added the usb aswell
