I'm using a catch can and while its collectin a lot of oil I'm still somehow getting a bunch of oil in my manifold , plus the fact I drive like a grandma and cant get above 14 mpg's. So just wanted to check and see what that would tell me, if anything.

It's $35 if you want the TBN checked. TBN is not absolutely necessary if you are just doing a "feel good" oil change interval every 3000, 4000, 5000 etc... miles. For me I use the OLM the way it was designed to be used. Two oil changes ago we went 13,504 miles when the OLM hit 0%. This past oil change we went 12,221 miles when the OLM hit 0%. I have been using Blackstone on the Camaro, but I have only used Amsoil/OAI (Oil Analyzers Inc/Polaris labs) on my 04 Dodge Cummins doing 25,000 mile oil changes. I much prefer OAI's reports and the pricing is much better. The non prepaid postage kit direct from Amsoil (OAI) includes the TBN test and cost's just under $18 (wholesale price) plus tax and shipping if needed. If you have a friend that is an Amsoil dealer they could get you the kit at "true" wholesale pricing and no shipping if they are close to an Amsoil distribution center. Or... you can buy the preferred membership and get the kit at wholesale pricing plus tax and shipping. If you are close to an Amsoil distribution center and have a preferred membership you can "will call" your purchase to save on shipping. I have been fortunate for the past five years. I have a good friend that is an Amsoil dealer and he lives very close to the Amsoil distribution center here in the DFW area. I have never paid more than wholesale prices and never pay shipping. Amsoil dealers do not get a better price than what the preferred membership price gets you. If they tell you different they are lying to you and if they sell for less than what the Amsoil website says they are paying a portion of your purchase for you. One last thing, if you get your test kit from Amsoil (OAI), do not buy the prepaid postage kit because Amsoil charges $8 for USPS postage. I just shipped my oil sample to Blacktone (TX to IN) for $2.65 USPS First Class.

Polaris labs in Indy also is excellent. Did you ever get your results back? How did they look? What were your baselines? At work we tend to utilize trend analysis and SME's to help understand what is going on in the engine and other components. If you need some other information PM me and I can possibly help you out or have someone look at it from work.
