I know I know, Im so sorry!
People complain about the shorties install because its the hardest for the amount of hp/tq gains because its not that much. The shorties will deepen the tone, im not sure if it'll make it necessarily louder.

Can't tell ya from experience. I did LT's and it really isn't that bad. Helps to have a friend hold some of the stuff while you move it into position. I've heard shorty's are actually harder, due to fitting them with the mid pipes.

IMO I haven't heard a V6 with pipes that doesn't sound ricey, but I dont keep up with it. if you want it to be.LOUD and it sound cool trade for the IBM SS you were talking about and throw some pipes on it.

OK, what is up with guys who own SS Camaros lurking in the V6 forum and telling us to get an SS? If I wanted one, I'd have bought it! You don't see me lurking in the V8 forum telling people to get an LT...

My MRT doesn't sound "ricey" at all... and it's not much quieter than an SS with a muffler delete. It sounds pretty good. I'm just really starting to like 'loud' whereas before I was scared of 'too loud.'

Back to the thread-- what's everyone's opinion on high-flow cats?

Get the Solo hi flo cat and reasonator setup. Bolts right on. Although, it would be cheaper to just replace your exhaust with SLP LM I. If that's not loud enough for you, you're deaf.

Go with the Solo hi-flo res cats. More authority with much deeper note... and a nice bump in power too!

Easy install to stock exhaust manifolds.

They ain't cheap but you get what you pay for....

Maybe I'll do an exhaust swap... Hmm. Need to go listen to some of the other options.

I REALLY like the high-flow cats idea, now that I'm hearing more about it. Just wondering how hard of a hit my bank account will take

If I'm replacing the MRT 2.0's with this though, that'll soften the blow somewhat, as I can probably get $300-$400 for mine...
