I like the interior. Simple, functional, sturdy. No fancy distractions, just you and the car.

I like my interior it was ok but for the price sometimes you expect a little less plastic especially on the top models but I spent like 2000 to get mine leathered out and now I'm happy

Wood is for Jaguars and Rolls. People that bitch about plastic have Bugatti tastes on Camaro incomes.
Nothing wrong with plastic. Nothing wrong with Camaro interiors. |

Sorry, these are just ridiculous comments. As I have said before, a 1960's Camaro never came close to being more expensive that a Cadillac or Lincoln, even with the top end models. Now just buying a 2SS or 2LT convertible puts you in the same price range. So expecting a little less cheap plastic does not seem ridiculous to me. Especially when they are able to do it on cars that cost way less. I don't expect leather everywhere. But some carpet on the door sill, and vinyl instead of hard plastic on the doors would make the interior a lot nicer and more durable. I can see where I am going to have future wear spots, scratches, cracks already with less than 1000 miles on the car. My other cars went over 100,000 miles and did not show any wear until they started hitting 50,000 miles. Last edited by linc400; 05-24-2012 at 01:50 PM. |

It seems that most of the complaints could be addressed by the aftermarket. The bezels around the gauges could be replaced with machined aluminum (for not too much money), and someone could make replacement panels for inside the doors. I would be interested in those types of upgrades.

However, I have not seen any door panel upgrades or anything to address the door sill area. I realize lots of people do mods, but having antique cars, I like the idea of keeping it all original. "Keep your GM car all GM" type mindset. |

The interior isn't the fanciest you can get, but everything's assembled nicely. I appreciate that mine has no squeaks, rattles, or misaligned parts.

I can say my binocules (sp?) are a little misaligned and the dash is definitely going to be an issue as far as warpage as I can already see a gap forming under the center vent from sun exposure when it was left on the lot before I bought it. I seriously advise everyone to invest in a shade to prevent the dreaded "Chevy curse" of the cracked dash.

Regarding quality of the interior... I am perfectly happy with it. Fit and finish is pretty good, and the fact that there's a lot of plastic isn't a bad thing, really. When people say "plastic," it's usually considered derogatory, but, realistically, it's a pretty decent material. It's tough, strong, easy to clean, easy to replace, is lightweight, not expensive (like wood or leather), and looks pretty damn good. Carpet quality seems great to me, and maybe I'm alone in liking the seats, but even the black fabric is something I am real happy with... looks good, easy to clean, fairly durable. I don't have rattles and squeaks (that's MY personal pet peeve... those absolutely make me insane in other vehicles). Try as i might, I can't think of complaints about interior quality, design, layout. |

Love the interior just the way it is...I prefer it not being packed to the gills, gaudy, cluttered with cheesy chrome...just to be considered "nicer"...keep it simple...
Only complaint is lack of a standard footwell-light...that's almost an the "cheap" side...lol |
