True! Haha. Only thing that kills my mpg is having the rpms too low in a gear where the car bucks a bit, so I have to downshift a gear and ride in that. Other than that, its pretty much the same mpg!

Well can you at least give us one variable... Auto or Manual... which do you have.

Actually, it is not a bad question on a superficial troubleshooting level. The guy who put my car together f'ed up the tune so badly, I was getting 6 to 8 mpg. The mpg was the thing that alerted me that it was jacked. Turned out the bastard had installed the wrong length injectors. Running too rich can destroy your engine just as running lean can. So, it isn't a bad topic.

10-12 city; 16-17 hwy

I really don't care if I get 11 or 15 mpg, what I do care about is whether I am way off which could be a tune issue which could be catastrophic....so for that, I care.

My L99 with tsp vvt cam get 10 city 14 hwy...pretty normal,as long as you feel the car pulls hard, you shouldnt worry too much about MPGs.

It's a pretty good way to know that your car is tuned well...

I get about 20-22 average (mostly...probably 80% highway) with a 226/234 cam.

I'll have to reset my counter when I head back to Virginia today and see what I get. All I know is that on the trip up to PA, I definitely didn't come close to getting the gas mileage I used to get in my Cammed 2006 GTO. sadly :(

226/236 and average 15 to 16.5 and i'am happy with that. A good tuner is key when installing a cam, mine was done on a dyno.

Pure highway, 550 mile trip, was 22mpg...give or take.
In town back and forth to work averages right around 12mpg.
I'm completely happy with that considering stock would pull 24-25 highway, DOD turned off would pull 22-23 and now an additional 100 to the wheels still gets 22.

One of the nice things about the 2010 and newer Camaro, the PCM can handle ridiculous airflow and injector calibration values...so tuners don't need to scale anything in them...this means that as long as nobody does anything funky with your injector calibration, the dash is very accurate. I stopped bothering to do the math on mine anymore because the dash was already always right.

That's why I'm happy too...I really only came down 1-1.5 mpg, putting about 125 more horsepower to the wheels than it did stock. These cars just aren't aerodynamic...they'll never get the numbers a 4th gen Z28 or SS could get...but they do alright considering their size and shape.

Absolutely, sorry about that. Mine's a manual. And thanks for all the useful info everybody. Looks like I'm right where I should be.
