Boss 302 Tastes Like Chicken GoPro Video

Several Camaro5 guys went to Memphis International Raceway for T&T this past Thursday night and had a blast! Lgndryhr V6, Ice Demon L99 and me with an LS3, plus one other guy and I didn't get his name. All 4 cars were . First Ice Demon wanted to run a Boss 302 who was game and you'll want to see that video:



Later in the night, I ran the Boss 302 with the results shown in the ET slip (please note the Boss 302 Redlighted and I still beat him):


Then the great shootout of the night the LS3 vs L99. Interestingly, both cars had about the same mods except that the L99 had a dyno tune. If you take a look at the time slip for the run, clearly the LS3 (better ET and Speed) was faster, but the LS9 (better reaction time) had the better driver....(who punches out a .007 reaction time on this very important run?). Take a look at both the video on my GoPro and the time slip.

In the L99 vs LS3 race, my thinking shows up in the time slip. The L99 was faster down the 1/8 mile (evident by the faster 60' and 1/8 mile time) and then the LS3 came on the second half of the track. Great race and very closely matched cars.

I think you have the right assessment. Of course, that was his best reaction time of the night!!!!!

Also the l99 vs ls3 is like torque vs Hp my l99 pulled on the ls3 until about 1000'. Then the ls3 started coming up on me and hahaha yep lol best rt of the night on the most important run of the night. Thanks for posting the vid man I enjoyed them. I'm at the track right now running Dot 1/4 bracket racing at MIR. I'm doing time trials right now. My first run was 12.86 @ 109 with a .084 rt time.

wait to try out my car since it has the pipes and tune on it.I have yet to break into the 12's but I think it'll be close next time. Took the car down to d'burg and ran it on
the 1/8 mile, track was a little greasy,not as well preped as memphis.I cut a couple
1.95-1.97 and ran 8.35 and a 8.31. Cut a .547 light but broke out. It was a double break out but he broke out by 3/100 and I broke out by 4/100. I hate getting put
out in the second round.Planning on being in Memphis next Thursday for t&t if it
doesn't rain....Temps should be perfect. Hope you guys are there.

An 8:31 in the 1/8th is an easy 12 in the 1/4. If you look at the "official 1/4 mile fast list", they show the ET time slips and you can find one close to your 8:31 which will give you a close estimate of your 1/4 mile times. What are your mods? Duh.....I see them now in your signature! Good runs. Going to Memphis for me is a 260 mile round trip. Of the miles I have on my car, half or more were put on going to MIR....lol. Oh well, that's the best part of having a car like ours.

Well I missed out on Memphis t&t Thursday night because of rain.I took the car to Dyersburg's 1/8 mile track. I was able to get five runs in and they were all 8.27 and
faster. The best run was a 8.201 with a 1.92 short light.
The track gets greasy after the launch and spins in 2nd gear. I think i can get it into the teen's with some good tires that will hook. I ordered a pair of nitto nto5's and a pair of stock polished wheels to mount them on.Tires came in Wednesday and the wheels made it here Friday afternoon.Too late to get them on the car,maybe i'll get em mounted and give Memphis a visit to see if I can get an official 12 second time
slip.

I submitted my time slip for the official 1/8 mile fast list...fingers crossed.
