The dealers will always argue on their behalf that it shouldn't matter because the damage has been fixed to factory standards by their "experts" and you will still get the full warranty.
I doubt Carfax would catch it either, if insurance is involved it would most likely be business insurance, not auto and the title isn't issued until some poor soul buys it.
Carfax is a joke. Its based on self reporting by repairing dealers. Not all report damage.

It's unavailable. Suspension is extremely damaged as well as all 4 rims/tires. Car can not be driven in its current state. It's on a lift, technically on life support. Cant even stand on its own.

Carfax is very useful, it's not the be all end all, but it certainly isn't "a joke." I can't tell you how many times a customer tried to trade a car w/ a branded or salvage title and they never knew about it as the second owners. Had they had a Carfax in hand before they would have known.

On a used car, get a Carfax, make sure it passed inspection, and pay out of pocket for a mechanic to look at it anyway. That's about the best you can hope for.

Wow this is sad to see and as everyone has said this dealership is a joke. The asking price does not suprise me when they had a ZR1 in the showroom asking 198k for it. Then they tried to advertise a 30k discount to get someone to buy it for 168k. The lifted silverados on the lot are nothing more than LT models that can be bought for mid-30's and they are selling them for 55-57k. I performed the same mods to my truck which is also a LT model and it cost 3k. Know your prices if you ever go try to buy anything from these bozos.

Has anyone tried to go buy parts from them? They fight you tooth and nail to not give you the part numbers until you buy something because they know you will go somewhere else and buy the same parts for half price. And they are just a bundle of joy to work with as well.

My first hand experience on how they treat cars is they took it for an alignment and used a 1/4 tank of gas! I had the car in the body shop, which by the way does do a great job!, they only said we have to go across the street. RIIIIIIGGGGHHHHTTT. I have went to them for an oil change and now if I go there for routine maintenance I take a picture of the odometer before I leave the vehicle! Its sad you have to do that with a dealership.

I am baffled that they can sell this car NEW with the airbags being deployed. Im not even talking morally, Im talking LEGALLY! When I bought my RX8, I thought it was new. Then I moved to TX, and I noticed a paint flaw on my front bumper. I took it back to Mazda to have them repaint it and they looked at it and said, "this has been repainted." I said "No, this is a brand new car." I called the dealership back in AZ and they said the car sustained front damage during unloading. I was furious. So I actually had to drive back to AZ and have the paint shop Mazda used that fixed it, to fix it. All dealers are shady. Even my Camaro had front end damage that wasnt reported.

The OP stated in some of his posts that the airbags were deployed and if I remember, there was a picture that showed them deployed.
