Don't slam my door!

What is it with door slammers? Do you ever tell anyone "before" they get in to, "close it easy, please!" This really goes up by xxx big time. Its not like your sealing yourself into a vault to protect your family from radiation. Is is your intention to try and make my ears pop? I thought the glass was going to break, I swear. What do you guys do when you run into this, or have you?

I stop giving that person a ride anywhere, who cares if it was my GF she should know better than slam my door.

What really chaps me is when someone grabs the top part of the window to open or close the door.

I usually don't say anything unless it is someone who frequently rides with me.... Then I bring it up in a kind way....

:(

I found it helpful to force a rule
if you slam the door
if you close it with the glass
or if you put your nasty grubby hands all on the side while you close it
you sit in the back for a week regardless of the amount of people.

it works.

While it does drive be bonkers when my son gets a bit too Conan the Barbarian Crazy with the slammy-slam-slams, in the grand scheme of things....

......my day is going pretty well if that's the worst I have to worry about.

When things go boom downrange for my comrades in arms, it usually means something a lot worse. So I sort of just grimace and (try to) move on.

Just me, though.

Buzz kill. Just kidding. Perspective is everything. I do get annoyed with this as well. I find it tends to be people who have an older car and are used to having to close the door hard to close it all the way. I tend to just ask nicely that they please just pull it closed gently. My wife used to laugh at me when I would ask her to please close the. door with one or two fingers on the window seal when she gets out of the car. All the hard work that goes into detailing makes me obsess like that. What can I say?

Aw shucks, I did give you a "slammy-slam-slams," so you gotta definitely have to give me a pass.
