It doesn't say the end of humanity, it indicates the end of the world "as we know it." That's when the Transformers come to remove the Decepticon living in the Whitehouse. Sorry for the temp hijack.

everyone is blowing this out of proportion, everything will still be a round with a gas guzzler tax. Duh!!
Everyone wants to blame someone and gas guzzler taxes have been around since George Douche i mean er...bush! lol If we car guys burn up all the gas and run up the price what about the folks that can't afford to keep up with the prices. Wait I orded a v6...guess i'm not getting a hole burned in my pockets. lol

cars are like women, some are old, some are new, some get turned on easily some need a lot more help, some you just wanna drive into the river, some you can't wait to get inside of, some are expensive to maintain, some are low maintenance, however if you treat them right, you'll have her for the rest of your life.....

Key word missing is "average" GM and all other companies will manage the mix of cars sold to meet these demands. As a result there will still be Camaro's and Corvettes both of which get reasonable MPG. The need for a good corporate average was the reason that GM has stated all along that they will build more V6 cars then SS cars. I will buy my car soon an plan on keeping it for the long haul. I think the Obama adminstration wants everyone in a Prius. I will walk before I would drive one of those.

What's the animus about the Prius? I had one for a while. Great commuter and you can slide a long-wheelbase recumbent bicycle in it. A Pruis DD alongside a 2SS weekender would be a good setup.

I agree with this..2014 may be the last year to get a fully muscle car powered V8 as we know it today..

But don't forget that 80 000 people are waiting to Prius III delivery and Camaro only 18 000.

Um, I don't get the point. I'm addressing the attitude that some people wouldn't be caught dead in a Prius. It's a useful and technologically interesting car. I guess what bewilders me on various car forums is how committed people are to one type of automobile. I think Fiat 500s, Charger SRT-8s and giant CrewCab Diesel duallies are all equally interesting vehicles. It's like people who only watch NASCAR. How can you not like all kinds of racing?

Mine sure as heck will! Had the last one 15 years and bound to have this the same if not longer. I'll have my new SS until they make it outright illegal to own or--if can't get parts to fix it anylonger.
