But what do you mean v6 SS? The battery back-up isn't a battery perse' but it's to make sure the ECU, TCU, BCU etc.... doesn't lose power. |

So are you saying i wasted 30 seconds of my life pulling those fuses by not disconnecting the battery cable also.

I think the phrase v6 powered SS is their way of saying I have a v8 and it feels like a v6. Or at least that's the way I interpreted it

yes ,,if fuse pull is the correct fix, and battery disconnect doe'snt fix.. Well i guess i would have to look at wiring diag and ecm, as, im looking at it as, --Fuse pull removes voltage to ecm, and after enough time resets ecm.. well disconnecting batery removes voltage to ? and would take fuse away like its not there.-- Hope im explaining what i mean guy' ok... thanks

In fact I suspect that it's not necessary to leave the fuses out for hours. I'd bet you should be able to pull them wait a minute and put them back in. I broke this open with my vids and dyno runs. I left them out for about 3 hours but not intentionally. Just got busy around the yard and I didn't think the fuses would do anything since NOTHING I tried had worked to that point. |

mmmmmmmmm,, still sound's funny... But i was pulling fuse's over nite, and then after that know diff in veh...... AND car felt like a v6 powered veh.. lacked alot of pull after it hit 2200 rpm... So i went ahead and disconected battery for 5 min. hooked it up and took for ride. WOW Major diff ,,pull, power,, like car was suppose to have... - Can only say it worked for me and fuse pull didnt ??
VERY VERY INTERESTING.. |

It's not the battery part that makes no sense to me it's the fact that you cut power to your ECM (which is essentially is what pulling the battery does) by pulling the fuses and said it didn't make a difference. And then unplugged the battery and it did the trick. The part that doesn't make sense is that you cut power to the ECM and it did nothing. Pulling the fuses cuts ALL power to the ECM. You'd have to have two power sources to your ecm both fed directly from your battery.
