VIN 2477 ordered 10/13 parked at QC in Oshawa on 4/4...and now missing according to DBC.

Wondering if anyone has been affected by dealer closings, ordered my car late October 2008, and last Friday my dealership was on the list to close. Yesterday the dealer called me and told me that he would not be able to get my order, he said that he would refund my money, but that if I ordered from another dealership that I would not be guaranteed price protection. The dealer tried to call other dealers in the area and they would order me one but at 5k over sticker. I had agreed to buy mine a 2ss 6sp RJT/black for sticker. This really sucks especially after waiting almost for years.

Why dont u give camaro scotty a shout. You will have to pay for the car to be shipped but u know he wont rip you off and sell over sticker. He's a respected member on this forum. Let him earn your business you will be happy i assure you.

Going completely crazy reading about people who know nothing about the car but walk into a dealer, decide they like it, and walk out with it while we continue to be tortured.
I must not be a very nice person, I am not really happy for these people, I can't help but feel jealous. I do get super excited every time I see a long-suffering member get their car or change event codes....just can't bring myself to it for the others....maybe I need therapy, must need therapy...

I read elsewherre in the forums that the Bumblebee limited edition cars will be built starting June 24. Iguess that means any preorders not built by then will be pushed back again. damn.

Assuming your order's already in the system, I read that GM would arrange to have your order shipped to another dealer. Don't know if that other dealer could use his own pricing rules though, probably would.

The earliest your dealer would close would be October; he won't get it by then?

We were affected by a dealer closure earlier this year and our old dealer was lucky enough to find another dealer for us who would guarantee MSRP. It looks like yours tried, but couldn't find someone willing to work with you. That sucks. If it were me, I would start looking at out of state dealers, I would be totally willing to take a road trip for this car. Someone mentioned several on cars.com and some were at MSRP. For a car this special, even driving across the country would be worth it for me... plus it would be the road trip of a lifetime. Good luck

Hey all,

There will be one more Camaro available for anyone who wants it. Today I had a phone call from GM directly who got in touch with me after filling out a rant on GM.com.

They:
- Don't know when I can expect my car.
- Have no idea why its still at Oshawa
- Have no clue what the hold up is
- Will not call Oshawa for me to check up on it
- Will not give me a phone number of someone at Oshawa
- Cannot tell me Who What When Why How Sweet F all about it.

For those of you who have received your cars already: Congratulations! You guys are very lucky. Enjoy!
