You are either in or you aren't. No one is saying you have to be apart of it to hang out with us, and no one is saying that if are with ICE that you have to attend every single show. I think some of us have lost touch with that idea.

Now just as every other car club has gone through, we are still ironing out some details and people are starting to butt heads a little bit; which is completely natural. But, as I have said before, I have seen 2 other car clubs I have been in/attempted to start go through the same thing. They couldn't get through the rough patches. I can see this car club ending up better cause I am pretty sure we can all settle whatever differences we have and let other things/issues die. I have confidence in us all and I look forward to the progression of our club.

SHIRT UPDATE...

The list is current as of 0731 this morning, May 30th. See post #2612.

We're at 47 shirts and counting!!

I will stop taking orders on Friday, June 8th.

This should give everyone who hasn't ordered yet the chance to.

If you look on the list and see someone who hasn't ordered, give them a call. Maybe they haven't seen the post.

I texted everyone I had numbers for.

I'm also looking for more donations for that special project I'm working on that I texted everyone about. The pool is at $22 right now.

Friday night is the Show n Shine from 1800-2100 at River Walk Park.

Saturday is the cruise starting at River Walk Park lining up at 0900. Criuse starts at 1300 and goes till 1800. It ends back in Independence at the park.

at 1pm, cars head out of town to the west, cycles go to the east.... both lines pass each other around half-way. (route is a circular drive)
the route that year went over through Jesup, down through Brandon, over around Quasenton (sp?), and back up to Independence.
then everyone piles back into the park to linger around, everyone was back by 2:00/2:30pm??
what went on beyond that until 6pm, I have no idea.

but, absolutely no spectator interest from any of the small towns we went through...
even when we returned to Independence, didn't seem like there was any outside interest from the town towards the cars/bikes.
just kind of "blah".... stayed around the park in Independence for 10-15 minutes and headed home.
probably wouldn't do it again anytime soon.

not to say it couldn't change and be more fun another time.
was definitely not what most of us would consider a "show" in that respect.
there's times when something like that is more enjoyable than just sitting with parked cars for hours,,,
this one just didn't seem like it was all that great though.

have not done the Friday portion before.

It would probably be fun if all of us went, but that will never happen.

The camaro is completely detailed inside and out with a liquid wax finish. I am ready for this saturday to get here already.

Today I have to replace the brakes and rotors on my Impala as it shakes when I start to brake. Hope it all goes smoothly for me.

Probably won't be attending any shows this weekend either. It's Nanci's first weekend off in a long time so we're probably going to go see our son and daughter-in-law, and grandson up north.

I will be doing the same thing I have been doing the last 5 weeks, working on my other Camaro. I'm ready for this thing to be done; 1) I want to DRIVE it and 2) I am missing out on a lot of good car shows!!!!!!!!
