That's my hometown and I miss it very much. Ride the incline or go up to Mount Washington and check out the view. Looks great night or day. Lots of things to see and do not gonna sit here and list, there are plenty of websites for that. Have fun and hope you enjoy the city.

Let's go Penguins!!!

Got to go to Primante's in the strip and get a sandwich. It's a pittsburgh tradition

Im originally from the burgh. Visit mount washington at night. Not sure when they have light up night anymore as its been about 7 years now since I moved. The view is incredible though and you can take the incline down to station square along the river, bunch of restaurants and I think some places have live music

Welcome to the burgh

Depends what you'd like to do....

Amusement Park:
Kennywood
Sandcastle Water Park

Food (cheap):
Primanti's

Food (more expensive):
Nine on Nine in downtown
Casbah in Shady Side

Bars:
Entire South Side (literally....14 blocks of bars along East Carson Street)
North Side (Walking Distance of PNC Park if you're a baseball fan) has 4-5 bars

Need any work done on your car (custom wise)?
Tom Henry will be about an hour north

Sites:
Mt. Washington
Waterfront
The stadiums
Consol

+1 to this. I recommend making sure your OnStar is active for directions or bring a GPS with you. We have more bridges than Venice, Italy, and 1/2 of our roads are under constructions just about all the time.

Plus, all of our overpasses...overpass each other. So just make sure you know where you're going.

Primantis for a sandwich for sure. Bring an appetite. I like Pastrami with egg.

The roads here are twisty and hilly. They look fun. If you could clear out all the traffic, stop signs and 35mph zones, they would be. Lol

Aging and out-of-date infrastructure, no beltway, a complete lack of hustle, and a large geriatric population... not to sound like a debbie downer or anything

Definitely hit up Primanti's and Quaker Steak and Lube. The city looks beautiful at night, and PNC park is arguably the "best" ballpark in the nation - and because the team stinks, tickets are cheap!

If you're considering work here, I'm partial to the northern suburbs. All of us stuck up out-of-town-transplant Cranberrians find it haughty enough to survive amongst the yokels... er... yinzers. Just do what you can to stay away from needing to commute through a tunnel. Even with large "MAINTAIN SPEED" signs, people still can't figure them out. However, like Swacer mentioned, Pittsburgh is the worst city I've ever had to navigate. Aside from continuous construction, the street signage is horrible.

If you're here on a Friday night, you'll definitely want to head to Wexford for the Starlite car cruise. One of the largest, if not the largest, weekly car cruise in the nation.

Oh, and in case you haven't yet caught on to my condescension, prepare your thick skin -- no one is afraid of hurting anyone's feelings
