2011 Camaro Production Numbers

Has anyone found out what the 2011 Camaro Convertible Production numbers were? I haven't been able to find them anywhere. I would think someone kept track of these numbers somewhere!

I sent an email to Chevy requesting this info back in Sept this year. Here is the response to the following question

Can you tell me how many 2011 Camaro Convertibles were produced ?

I read somewhere a while ago that production for 2011 was 7,500 units. I'll see if I can dig it up.

There is only some "high level" numbers for the 2011 and 2012 model years. Scott S. posted that it was unlikely that GM will publish anything with more detail... though it is possible that later a third party may be able to acquire the data and slice and dice it better.

2011 convertibles made: 21,035 (including pace car and Neiman Marcus ed - included in the 1LT, 2LT, 1SS, 2SS numbers best I can tell)

Are those numbers for 1SS convertibles correct? I'm from the Southern Connecticut area and of the 4 convertibles' in my town, 3 are 1SS and mine is a 2SS, so I think the total of 470 for the entire year may not be accurate.

It is what Fbobfather posted up, and I believe him (cept when he is telling those tall tales in the parking lot late at FBody Gathering or CFest!)

It isn't a big surprise to me since most convertible folks prefer the leather seats for keeping them clean (though hate them at the same time for scorching their butts in summer!)... the leather is much easier to clean brid crap off of than the cloth.

It is possible that the local dealership there either had the market pegged for the cloth seat crowd, or ordered the less expensive version figuring to have them move off the lot easier (loan qualification, etc). I don't recall seeing a single 1SS and only recall seeing one 1LT here in the Nashville area ... though I am sure there is bound to be some?
