I expect gas I go up. But it's largely due with oil prices, when oil prices rise so does gas, back in 07/08 when oil prices doubled so did fuel, then oil dropped and gas.... Stayed the same so it IS expensive considering the price of oil

keep in mind, even though it's the largest factor, the price of oil is only one of many factors that effect gas prices. one of the biggest factors is simply that the US currently exports more refined fuels than we ever have before. in fact, we're probably the largest exporter of gas and other refined products.

i'd like to know about costco gas as well. i usually fill up at costco, since it is usually about 15 cents less per gallon at costco than it is at most other gas stations. costco claims to have 5x the minimum required cleaning detergents in their gas, so it can't be that bad i suppose. |

Thats still about $1.50 higher then it should be with current crude oil prices.
This is what they do, add 50 cents to the price, we get pissed, they drop price 30 cents. THen up price 50 cents, we complain and they drop it 30 cents, then up it again 50 cents, we yell and it drops 30 cents. Over the year, price of fuel has increased 60 cents a gallon and we feel HAPPY to be paying that. We need to raise some noise, fuel prices are WAY to high still. Its all BS. I have been paying +$4.00 a gallon for my diesel for over two years, currently $4.09 a gallon, make any sense with crude oil running around $83 a barrel, NOPE!!!

All of the fuel tanker trucks in Phoenix fill up from the same tank farm. Tell me how one brand is so much better than the others.
Just don't buy from a place that doesn't sell much gas and you'll be all right. John B.
