I called my dealer today because I was going to delete the sunroof option that I ordered. He did some research and called me back saying that the headroom is the same at 37.4" with or without it due to it retracting out of the roof. He supposedly called a specialist that knew the answer. Is he wrong? I'm 6'5" so it is pretty important to me.

He is wrong. While I'm sure you could MAKE it work. The fact of the matter is you might be reclined so far back that you're uncomfortable? You really need to drive to a dealer that has one and sit in it, and adjust the seat so that you have both a comfortable feel, as well as, as good of forward visibility as you can achieve. You have to remember, this chopped top roof is low, (as is the rear view mirror) and the belt line high, which makes a BIG difference with us tall guys!

You are correct, he was wrong. I just sat in one with the sunroof and I had to recline so far that it was a stretch to reach the shifter and I didn't have this issue with the non-sunroof one that I sat in. I deleted the sunroof. Thanks for the input.

I sat in a 2ss today with sunroof and had no luck. I'm 6'4" with most of it in my torso. I adjusted the seat and tilted it back some, but I can feel my head rubbing unless I tilt over to the right with the shade pulled back. For 40K,I just can't do it. I cancelled my original order today and ordered another from a different dealer who just recieved 2 allocations. I hate to start over after waiting so long(10-15-08), but what the heck's a few more months.
