Spoke with my dealer today. Same story as OP. GM is not updating the Work Bench Event History. The dealers first order was at 3800 for a while, no change for a few weeks and was told by GM it was in transit. The Event History was still at 3800 when the car arrived at dealer. I'm going on 30 days at 3000 now so I'm hoping it's built and will arrive soon (no late than the end of June....not getting my hopes up). The dealer has spoken to GM and was told the Event History is not being updated consistenly now.

It is not uncommon to be at 3000 for a month or more.

That's not the same as the OP at all. He is saying his car is built but it is at 3400 with no VIN but is built. Your dealer said a car was stuck at 3800 for a while. HUGE difference. The latter is normal, the former is highly unlikely.

I have the same story as well. My dealer (Sales manager) is waiting for 4 cars (mine and 3 others) that were assigned TPWs. He said the system is telling him nothing we didn't already know and the only answer he can get from GM is that some of the orders are on a train headed this way. Since I'm 4th of the 4 I'd assume "some" doesn't include mine

i think UCF just doesnt wana wake up and smell the burnt rubber, status is not always being updated and is the reason we all are having these similar issues. Which in my eyes is alot better than the alternative, are cars just sitting at 3400 and 3800 for weeks

I question that your dealer knows your car is built when the signs that it has been (3800+VIN or invoice, etc) are not present. Because someone in GM told him it was? It wouldn't be the first time the DBC has been flat out wrong.

I just don't want people thinking that 3400 = built because of this thread when it doesn't mean that at all.

That would explain why my dealer to me the same thing 2 weeks ago. I am at 3400 but they told me it is built.

!!!!!!!!! the evidence is compelling!! and growing!! but dont get me wrong im not sating 3400=built but wat i am saying is that if you have been sitting at 3400 or 3800 for days and days THERE COULD BE A CHANCE that GM is just not updating your status. is that ok UCF?

I don't know why you people don't read other threads on the same issue. The initial screen doesn't update but the Event History does update. If the dealer is saying that it's not updating, they're not looking in the right place and/or calling DBC. Period.

Aside from all that, The VIN plate is on the vehicle at start of production. Everything UCF says I agree with so far. It is not possible to be at 3400 and the vehicle be built. It's also not possible to be built and not have a VIN.

3-5 people experiencing the same issue means 2-5 dealers out of about 7000 don't know how to follow up on their orders.

Kinda. Some screens are not updating and some are. I guarantee that if it is built, the dealer has access to a screen that says 3800
