This looks sharp as hell, except for the front clip. If this is to be the next Mustang you have to give it a giant facepalm. First you get the ass end all wrong, then you get the kisser wrong. Looks too mid level eco car to me.

Think futuristic...soon we will be driving space cars instead of road cars. And it looks like we're headed in that direction. I think I can adapt to change...reluctantly. ...so long it has a V8 and sounds badass.

This rendering is new to me, but very similar to many of the others we've seen popping up.
I actually think it looks pretty decent from the doors on up to the front end....but that rear is basically a match for the current Eclipse. Wouldnt be suprised if the next Mustang does end up looking similar to this, some will like it and some will be horrified. I think if they can keep the car just a tad smaller or at least lighter than the current, and give it a more futuristic "sport" look like in the picture, but somehow move the design away from "japanese sport" in the rear it could be a winner. I will say that although the sport is there, it it missing some of the "muscle" look of the current gen, which may be hard to capture in a design like that.

The past two generations of the Ford Mustang have had vintage styling, hearkening to classic Mustangs from the 1960s. However, Ford has publicized that the next era Mustang will drop the vintage appointments. I heard, Ford Mustang will not have retro styling in next generation. It likely won’t be getting the butterfly doors, but the new Mustang is said to be getting a diverse selection of engines, much like the current one.
