I'm doing my check in. Got a 2011 Lt sunroof bumble bee. Blank canvas. Just bought it a week ago. Can't wait to do my personal touch mods. Bought car from cable Dahmer on 103rd & wornall

Hiyall! I'm pretty new and I'd like some brain trust input. I'd like to have my tails tinted with vinyl or window tint. I'm in NO WAY capable of doing it on my own cuz I'll mess it up. I know I will.

Here's a question: I called a VERY REPUTABLE tint shop in town (KC area) and they want $125 alone to tint the tails. I said a few choice words under my breath. Is this reasonable or....? Any one have recommendations? Any one willing to do it for a 12 pack or???

Check out Headlight Armor on Google. They offer custom cut vinyls that are super easy to install. I'm not sure what part of town you live in but I'll drink that 12 pack and coach you on the install. I installed their product on all of my front lenses.

Yeah, $125 is A LOT for that amount of work.. Did they quote your windows at $400?! There are plenty of cheaper options out there.

I tinted my taillights, side markers, reverse lights, turn signals, and headlights for 99.00 from http://www.bigwormgraphix.net/ . Their shipping was quick and their videos make it easy to learn to apply. I am in no way an expert tint applier, but I was able to do this without too much stress (and I am a perfectionist). If you have ever put a protective cover on a phone screen, it closely resembles that. They are all precut as well to fit the lights specified. All you would need is a bottle of water and a hairdryer. That's it. If you decide to go with that, I would be happy to help you out as I learned along my adventure some tricks. Also, if you would like to see what the tint looks like on the lights, I would be happy to show.

If you want to get your windows tinted, I went to MidAmerica Tint off of 135 Street in OP. I haven't had any experience with other tint shops around town, but MidAmerica did a great job on my car and they were very quick.

On a side note, congrats on your purchase. About two months ago I bought mine from Cable Dahmer as well. So I'm still a bit new to this, but there is a lot of great info on this site!
