I was wondering where the wild accusations that Obama is the reason for high gas prices were and bam, like a savior, you came in to help us out.

Good thing too. for a minute there I thought the world had suddenly realized what every rational person should already know and that is that the President has no direct control over the price of gas. Period. End of story. Go ahead and vote for Romney if you like but it won't change how the commodities market works.

Not sure how you can say that when the president refuses to sign the bill that would allow millions and millions of crude to flow from Canada and there's still a hold on drilling for oil in the Gulf (except for China). Both of these failures effect the price of gas and both are directly related to the presidents reluctance to act. It's my opinion that the unbelievable rise in gas prices some years back started the current economical problems anyway. Lower gas prices and watch the economy grow.

On the topic: gas dropped to $3.09 for regular in Paris, TN at the Shell station. Incidentally, Shell and BP are supposedly the best quality gas and they are typically the cheapest in our area. I keep topping off prematurely because it's cheap and the next day it gets cheaper. I can actully feel good about flooring it once in a while.

Who cares atleast it is going down now and not up. Pretty sure gas was high too when Bush was in office (go ahead correct me if I am wrong, idc)

I think there are way to many factors that affect it to just blame it on one person, just my opinion.

Thank de-regulation of the oil the oil industry back in the late 80's for this..... They can charge whatever they want, government can't do anything about it.

But it is nice to see it go down a bit. $3.2X here in Kansas right now.

$3.54 here in Michigan, is nice but I miss the days when it was in the $2.00 range. I remember when it was .25 a gallon back in the early 70's!!!!

I'm not sure how much it gas costs per gallon in Kuwait, but it costs me around $14 to fill up the tank as soon as the "low fuel" shows up, filling it up on premium gas, and around $20 on the "ultra" gas.

Less than a dollar a gallon give or take at $14. Crazy.

That is very interesting. Not to get off the subject but what are the costs of other things such as food, homes, insurance etc.

The reason gas is really cheap in Kuwait is because Kuwait has tons of petroleum, and it makes all these petroleum and gas products. Food is pretty cheap. Health insurance is usually given if you work in the private sector, which gives you insurance for the the private hospitals. Health care in Kuwait in free though, and Kuwaitis don't have to worry about getting treatment for any health problem they may face. If the treatment is not available in Kuwait, the government will send the person abroad for treatment on its expense. But you can choose between private or public hospitals. Both are quite good. Home prices have gotten quite expensive lately, but all Kuwaitis do have a home, because if you can't afford one, the government will hook you up. It may not be the best type of home, but its still pretty good. Everything else is really not that expensive, and thats all thanks to the money Kuwait makes from exporting petroleum. The great thing about my country is that it gives the money it makes back to the people, and constantly helps the Kuwaitis. The expats also enjoy living here because things aren't that expensive, and its good way to make money. Most of my teachers from the school where I graduated from, have been there for so many years, some are still there even after 10+ years years. I'm sorry if this of the subject, just thought I'd explain why the gas is really cheap, and almost everything else with it. I'm very grateful.
