I've had the 3M shield on my SS for 2.5 years and it still looks perfect. my installer's main form of bread and butter is a high end dealership in the Orlando area that only sells Ferraris and Maseratis.
surely one would think those high end cars wouldn't accept nothing but the best when it comes to this sort of stuff. I don't know why people are bashing 3M.

Do the flaws with these products show up if they sit outside in the sun and after multiple washings esp using a car wash?
Many of us do not do that so we may never see these flaws perhaps. I keep hearing some owners complain of water leaks. I'm going to try to avoid rain so I may never know if my Camaro has this kind of problem. |

Hey bumblebee was your dealer for the clear bra in winter park fl? I think the guys name is Dave if so how do you like his work? I am buying a car in fl near there and have to drive home to nh and was going to have them put a clear bra xpel brand on he quoted 1900 ish for the whole nose fenders and hood backs of mirrors a pillar behind tires and gill area

i was quoted 2695 in MA for the same plus gills a pillars and behind rear wheels and since i am getting my car in FL and driving home to NH i tried a place down there and was quoted 1657 and they do high end cars that cost way more than my zl1 so thats where it will be done

I am getting a clear bra on mine this Sat. I am doing the nose, front part of hood, front fenders, lights, A-Pillars, mirrors, front of roof and top of rear bumper at trunk opening. The shop does a lot of very high end cars, Ferrari, Lambos, Porsches and ZR1's. It will be the self healing type of material.

I have one question for you guys that have a clear bra, does the area that has the clear bra shine or give the same luster as a freshly waxed section that does not have the clear bra? This is my first car I have ever considered the clear bra for and I assume you can't wax the area where it will be applied prior to applying it so I was just wondering how that would compare? I like the deep gloss that a freshly zainoed car gives and if those results can't be had with the area the clear bra is on I am not sure I want it. Its alot of money to throw down and not be happy with the look
