Have some patience, you car is almost ready.. I would rather have my car in QC than delivered with a problem..

I think there doing a whole lot of QC on the cars being held up and if they told everyone what the problem is it would cause a media uproar of negativity about GM IMO.

Individuals who call their support and ask as this guy did should be given some response as to why the car is in QC. Not everyone calls in and asks and even if they all did, it would simply calm the storm of feeling helpless and getting mad. For example, how long did it take GM to acknowledge what the heck the break weights were for? Gm could have stopped the five day panic had they come out on day one and mentioned why it was there... Same concept goes for individuals that have pre-ordered. The fact they are telling all of us the cars are in QC should be enough however to most people it isn't. A simple explanation of what is being fixed or changed should and would have probably given piece of mind to this consumer and he would not be coming on here and canceling the order..

AGREED. Just be honest. If my car won't be ready till 2012----freakin tell me. What the FFFF

I hate to repeat this guys, but I still think preorders should not have been taken. They should have just built what they could and shipped them to dealers to be sold on the lots. pent up demand would have taken care of discrepencies between V6 and V8.
Way too many people upset about how long their cars are taking to get built. Intentional or not GM mislead people with the pre-orders. Rule of thumb always has been when you order a car it should take no longer than 12 weeks to get. Somtimes as few as 7 or 8.
It's just my opinion but I think if a company cannot deliver a car within 12 weeks of the time the order was taken they should:
1. Refuse the order or
2. State clearly in the purchase agreement that delivery date is unkown.

Also for those who ordered cars and their dealer was honest with them stating they had no idea when the car would be coming in, I don't think you have a beef. Be disappointed
but you were basically warned that delivery was a crap shoot.

Bad side of that would have been 10K over MSRP EVERYWHERE!!

is it just me or is everyone else that ordered a camaro and doesnt have it yet, getting kind of aggravated seeing people just up and buy them from dealerships and seeing people driving them as rental cars? wtf

Okay, so maybe that was a little sarcastic... of course we're seeing that everywhere, and some of us are drifting in/out of first hand experience too.

well its happening, my buddies girlfriend just up and went and bought one from the dealership, then today another one of my buddies is driving one as a rental car.........
