Exactly I love my low mileage Garage King, up to 829 miles now and that makes me happy

I definitely understand where you are coming from and might feel the same if I was in your situation, and I have been before. Seems like we are saving our cars for someone else to enjoy down the road, and if we decided to sell, it wouldn't matter much if it had 9000 miles or 30,000 miles as long as it was still clean.

Kind of like my truck has had factory seat covers on it since it was new in 1997, when am I gonna pull them off and start sitting my ass on mint 15 year old fabric? Well probably never, or tomorrow if I take what you said to heart...lol

When the trip to work is 7 minutes, it's not worth getting the Camaro out of the garage most days, short trips are bad on vehicles, and mine are paid for so I'm not sweating the costs, but I'm not cleaning my car for 4 hours a week so I can drive it to work once and it's trashed in a day.

Plus I try to keep a low profile, when it looks like you have too much people always try to knock you down. Some of my customers have found out it's my car on the days I have driven it, and stated I must be making too much money.

Some people have so much they just don't care like others who might not have as much who do really care a lot about the few nice things they do have.
I was at a show last weekend and a guy (alone at the car show) was bemoaning that he bought his wife a Camaro just like mine but RJT and she has only put 200 miles on it in 2 years. He thought it was great that I enjoyed and took so much pride in mine, he wished his wife felt like that.
Some folks just don't care about cars or they have so much stuff it's not so special to them. Gee, to have so much stuff you just don't care. Wow.

3. no, didn't buy it to impress others, and I know I can take it out whenever I want.

forgot about that aspect of it. I tend to not even tell people I own it, and never customers. if they start thinking (or in the case of some, knowing) I make more than them it will definitely hurt my income a little.

it's not that. it's just that at the end of the day, it's just a camaro. a hell of a nice car to be sure, but a fairly common, affordable, production vehicle. I don't know, I guess knowing what else is out there, and with some stuff I've owned in the past, my camaro just doesn't come across to me as some marvel of engineering that I feel compelled to drive whenever and wherever just so I can drive it.

again, love the car. but at the end of the day it's 25k production vehicle that I see 10-20 of every time I'm out. If I were 10-15 yrs younger and in my 20's again, or if it were the first new car I'd ever purchased I'd probably feel like some of you do.

I bought mine to enjoy and mod. It was never going to be a daily driver, I leave those duties to the F 150 and I just bought a 2012 Ford Fusion to go back and forth to work in.

Camaro has 15,000 on it since Aug 2009.

His commute involves a near two hour drive one way, and a four hour drive home on the weekends. Why does he do it? Same reason my other friends with turbo rotary's that burn gas and oil like that sh*t is going on sale, daily drive theirs. We don't name our cars. There is no carpet in our garage. We aren't getting any younger and neither are our vehicles. We're car enthusiasts, not collectors. Don't get me wrong, I take care of my car, I love that thing. But I'll be damn if it turns into a giant diecast model.

1.) how can you go so long not driving it? I like to keep mine clean in car show condition pretty much all the time. Plus I have a DD. I just broke over 12,500 miles and I had mine since May of 09.

2.) what's the reason? I'm OCD.

3.) doesn't bother you when you see another camaro driving by and you're not!? Nope, because I know what I have back home in the garage is even meaner and beastlier than theirs.

My grandmother was put in a nursing home. We are still going through the stuff in her house. Found "nice" underwear, towels, sheets, etc. that was "too good to use everyday" still with tags on, unused. What good is this stuff to her now? Some of us did the same thing with some stuff, but this gave us a whole new perspective. My Camaro is not going to "sit in a drawer with tags still on". I will enjoy it while I can, and while it is at the height of its popularity.
