Well so far every argument you've tried to come up with is bullshit just like this one. Not to mention owning a ceartain car doesn't mean anything as facts are facts hell look at you for example. Oh and since you want to compare dicks I bought my 2007 Z51 with .7 miles on the clock in 2007 and just sold it two months ago.

My Z51 would do the same thing but oddly enough my accelerator pedal is not an on/off switch so I drove it accordingly. So to go with your flow if you're roll racing a Z06 from 70mph and start in 3rd you're either a puss or can't drive for shit.

With your vocabulary and complete lack of knowledge about the car you drive you don't deserve it or a ZL1.

So what's the deal with this? Is this GM's official word or do these values come from reading the pcm? I'm just curious.

I had a ZL1 sales guy tell me the other day that the ZL1 had a speed limiter of 185 mph. But I had never heard this before. If so, then we should be able to read it from the computer I would assume.

GM's official word when it comes to top speed should be taken with a grain of salt 98% of the time. The press release for the ZL1 says 205mph yet witin the article they state that the car is gear limited to 215mph but computer limited to 205mph. Just like the campaign for the 2005 C6 where they threw 186mph out there yet fail to say @ 5900rpm.

And in most cases a decent tuning program or the like should be able to show you where the fuel shut off is for mph & rpm.

when I see post about grammer on a forum I always think the poster has seen one up too close before or something. Like I am going to turn my post in for a grade or something ha ha.

Honesly I just can't type anymore and I don't spell check my post.

I have been able to find one magazine that talks about a governor set at 205 on the ZR1. Just an article though nothing from GM. I have seen errors in mag articales before so I never just like to take them as fact.

I can't find anything on the Z06. The specs on the 07 and 08 vett's are a tad different because LS3 VS LS2 ie 186 vs 192 top speed. I suppose the 07 could have had one I never owned one but when I was researching in 08 the Z51 stated no speed limiter just drag limit of 192.

you think I am being a dick I just don't like miss information on the interent. One person starts posting something like it fact then other poeple sart believing it.

I might Just give Tom Wong a call today he would know for sure as I could be different car to car and we are both wrong.

And I could dump the clutch and spin them through 1st, 2nd & 3rd if I wanted too, I'd explain further but you wouldn't get it.

You try to insult me yet look to magazines for information like this?

By the way here is a screen shot of EFIlive on a early C6.

actually if you only owned an LS2 I just don't quite think you understand the torque difference as I never lost grip at speeds in 2n my LS3. So I guess I knew how to drive that car but not this one.

3 times do to tire wear or temps being below 50 I have had my car step out quite to my suprise at speed where I though grip would not be an issue. that is why I asked if you actually had a Z06.

I am not trying to measure dicks or be ****y the torque curve is different and they drive different and it can sneak up on people who don't know how to drive like me.

I have been looking everywhere for this information the magazine was the only place that had any reference to it. You pull a graphic you got of the internet like you are a genuis ha ha. I found that same one on a google search. I saw that graphic but that is not for LS3 car could have been for an LS2 car. this could be different year to year or different model to model and we are both off.

Tom did not answer I will try to get real info by the end of the day not internet crap. one way or another.

To adequately compare accelerative abilities of two different vehicles, the TORQUE curve is very important.

Something else: Faster...Quicker...two terms often interchanged, incorrectly.

honestly though it is funny when I started looking into this speed limiter thing there is ton's of crazy info out there even on the corvette forum. there is post after post of no limiter, no limiter which is what I thought. then there are some posts that have that same screen shot he posted in for 05-07 cars.

Someone posted in that the value for an ls3 car that supposedly drag limits at 192 is in the tuner 195? So ironically the car may have a speed limiter past its drag limit????

There was another post that said that the Z06 has a 205MPH. which Ironically is past the claimed 198 drag limit. which if that turned out to be true would be funny to me. GM imposed a speed limit at a point the car is not supposed to go ha ha.

in the long run it is all useless knowledge but now I just want to know the real answer.

okay here is the Info I believe to be correct at this point. I was wrong and the car does have a Limiter but depending on which model you have you most likely could never reach it anyway. The speeds at which the limiter are set were incorrect or not complete in the above posts.

2005-07 LS2 186mph (due to the tires at the time speed rating)
2008-current LS3 195 (beyond 192 drag limit not sure why the number was chosen)
2006-current Z06 205 (beyond 198 drag limit maybe due to stabiliy like the ZR1?)
2009-current ZR1 205 (due to aerodynamic stability was stated)

see stupid people can be good for tracking down info because were are too stupid to know it doesn't really matter ha ha.
