I drove mine over Loveland Pass and Vail Pass on the way home after purchasing my Ice. SOOOOO FUN. Sir Nuke did say correctly, try to limit the cruise control for the first 1500 miles or so. Enjoy and post pics.....

Let me tell ya about the BEST drive of my life..I'd just bought Ol' Blue in January 2010, was using her as a DD. I always take my vacations the week before Memorial day, that way I get a three-day weekend following my week off. ANYWAY, it had been quite a few years since I drove down A1A from Jacksonville Fla to Daytona/Cocoa Beach area, one of my favorite vacation destinations. The LAST time I drove it was with my 4th generation.

So I book a room down around Vero Beach and drive down. what a BEAUTIFUL ride! riding right by the beach, people staring at me and pointing, waving...you know..SO about the middle of the week, I start to get 'the itch' to hit the road again, and I see that Key West isn't THAT far (oh yeah it was ) from Vero Beach, so I get up early and head out, down through Miami and on to the Keys...

It was amazing! perfect day, light traffic, bluest water I ever saw, and just a great unforgettable experience..didn't stay long in Key West though, I drove around a couple of times (not that big of a place) and headed back...I really bonded with my car on that trip...Here's a pic I took on the way home..She looks a bit different now than she did then, (I got mod fever)

I was just always told dont let anything overheat, like tranny and diff, they tend to drag more and heat up until the break in. And my dad always says dont hold the same speed or rpm for the first 100 miles. Not sure why

Gorgeous view. The landscape isn't bad, either.

Robert, are you going to Rydell in Northridge? Let me know if you want me to put you in contact with my seller there. He gave me a great price.

Definatley fun to drive. Just wish I could stop myself from chirping everytime I hit second gear from light to light. No I am not speeding just bring it to 30 and pop it in second. Sure is fun.
