I'm with you this is why we bought them right?

reasons why i dont drive my camaro.

raining, snowing, having more than two people to drive, being to late to drive or to early in morning.( loud exhaust, cammed). and there are days when i just dont feel like driving it. my DD is a brand new BMW. so i honestly dont mine not driving my camaro at times.

I've had my SS Vert for over 14 months now and it has 2,800 miles on it. I'm highly OCD and could NOT stand driving it in inclement weather. It sits in the garage waiting for a nice Friday or Saturday. I have to admit; however, I have never owned a vehicle I enjoy driving as much as this car. Top down, 6 speed rippin', Flowmasters rumbling...that's where it's at. I just can't justify driving the living Hell out of a nice vehicle, that is what my work car is for. Drive it where you want, park it where you want, etc., etc., no worries.

Mine stays parked in the winter, but still have just under 14k in 3 years. Usually driven to car shows on weekends or road trips somewhere. But as the saying goes, "Buying a car and not driving it is like dating a supermodel and not touching her. Just saving it for the next guy."

if one doesn't drive it, why buy the car in the first place???
unless you have a collection of cars I see why but the majority of people on here don't...
i drive mine every single day, whether it be 1 mile or 20 miles.

I'm like a lot of you old dudes, retired. My camaro is 7 months old and I just turned 2,200 miles this weekend. I never subject my baby to snow, rain or even wind. I seriously do not know if the windshield wipers even work, probably never will know. Clear day driving only and only on pavement. I never drive behind trucks or on gravel or anything else that might cause paint damage. I do my own oil/filter changes (did it at 1,000 miles - Rhino ramps) so I don't have to worry about the dealership screwing something up. When I picked it up at the dealership, I did not allow anyone to touch the exterior or interior, I did all that PDI stuff personally. I have offered friends a free Starbucks if they can find and point out so much as one swirl mark. My spouse rode in it once, other than that, no one else has ever sat in it. Driving "Casper" is pure pleasure and brings back memories of the old days. The CAI, Inc. cold air intake and Borla axleback is all that I have done to it, sounds great and puts that ol permagrin on my face every time I fire him up!!

its all about financial priorities....if people have the financial liberty to either not daily drive, or daily drive their camaro they shall do so.

The rest of us that only have the camaro as their one car, guess what its going to get used and daily driven and we will love every mile driven and hour used to clean it up after. and IMO its that simple.

Camaro makes a fine daily driver, weekend car, track car, or garage queen. I truly believe that this generation is destined to become a classic.

I have had my 2011 Camaro for about 22-1/2 months and driven about 4,250 miles. Bought it because I like the style and also for long annual road trips between Canada and the states. Fact is, I have only driven the Camaro once to the states as I stopped my annual visits to family and friends. I also have a summer only 1998 supercharged Riviera (68,000) miles but no longer wanted to drive the Riv. long distances because parts have become so hard to find at any cost. Typically I drive very short distances 3-4 times a week (summer much less). When I do drive these short distances in the summer I mostly now use the Riviera because my mechanic told me it needs to be driven more (never been driven in snow and winter garaged). I don't need two cars but enjoy both the Riviera and the Camaro just because when I do drive them I enjoy them and keep both well maintained.
I am one of the old guys on Camaro5 and have been driving for about 45 years. I have enjoyed every car I owned. Because I am a low mileage driver no problem for me to keep a car for 10-15 years because I stay on top of both mechancial and cosmetic issues and because when I buy a car it is because I like the body style. Because I am a low mileage driver, now at age 61, my Camaro might be my last new car purchase and that was a consideration when I pre-ordered my 2011 Camaro. I drive it when I need it (including winters) and 15 years from now when I am in my mid 70s doubt the Camaro will have hit 40,000 miles. I will still like the body style and replacement parts hopefully will not be as hard to find as those on the Riviera (a very low production model and many parts are not shared with other GM products).
When I was younger, yes I enjoyed driving my cars just for the sake of driving. Now I only drive when I have to go from A to B, but I do enjoy my short drives in my two autos.
