There's no way I'm committing to a vert until I hear official word from a Chevy rep or someone with a "fresh off the line" car that the "fixes" are in place...and have actually "fixed" the top problems. I just refuse to play "lottery top."

What a shame. I guess I'll wait to hear from someone with a recent build or wait until a recent build shows up in stock at a local dealer.

By the way, when will dealers begin seeing their first 2013's show up on the lots?

This is mostly a question for Becky but, for 2013 can a customer have a dealer order a zl1 without an allocation? I was first on the list at my local dealer but they are smaller and did not get any allocations. I doubt in 2013 they will get any allocations either.

Brazen, there may be a better shot at a '13 than a '12. At first, as Becky said, they may start going via allocation, but I suspect they'll open it up later in '13 where you can order one "flow through" as it were from your local dealer regardless of size.

As long as you're not trying to be FIRST, you may be able to walk right in any Chevy dealership later in the '13 MY and get one, or even one off the lot!

Hoping that Becky or another dealer could help clarify something for me. In the GM doc in this thread http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=215494 it states that "GMGlobalConnect's Order Workbench will be open for 2013 Camaro order configuration on Thursday, April 19, 2012" and "first consensus and order submission for the 2013 Camaro will occur in May"

Does this mean that you can put an order in on April 19th and get an order #? Or does this just allow you to configure a 2013 ZL1 in GlobalConnect and you won't actually get an order # until May 10th? On May 10th will they start pulling the orders in preparation for production in June?

Just trying to figure out if I should go to the dealer on April 19th or May 10th to get an order in and confirmed with an order #.

Is this still accurate? 6/11 = 2013 production startup. That's today. Is there 2013's moving down the line?

That's just a reference to the week it starts. I believe they don't actually start getting built until mid week. But yeah, we might start seeing some VINs on Friday.

As far as I know it's still a late availabilty option that is probably coming in August with all the other late avail. items like the verts and Blue Ray Metallic paint. Which is kind of weird cause it's a coupe only option anyway, guess they are still getting all the parts together from the suppliers.

My dealer said 6-8 weeks. I don't know if that's accurate or not, but I'm just throwing it out there.
