Your dealer is more than likely using a rollover allocation! Some people were fortunate enough to find dealers that didn't have all 12 allocations sold! So you're one of the lucky ones my friend!!

When did you order your 13?? Some of us have been waiting since Oct of 2011 when they first started taking orders! Some put money down even longer than that, and those people were rolled to a 2013!

I would hope that everything will be the exactly the same other than the availablity of the items on constraint that you mentioned.

Oh I know - I've been waiting with you guys since the ZL1 was announced, but I couldn't get a dealership with allocation that was willing to sell at MSRP (despite trying for months), then in January I made the decision to wait on the '13's.

I ordered in April, but I've been waiting longer than that - but I'm under no illusions that other people have had it MUCH worse than me...my post was said in jest, hence the haha at the end

Anyhow, it seems the key date for us non-rollover orders could be June 21st, as the following was on another thread taken from a GM email...

"For example, the first DOSP cycle for allocation against the 2013 estimated production guide number will occur June 21 - 26, 2012"

My only question now is when will Nav be taken off constraint, as I want it, but not at the expense of missing an allocation spot...

Ehh if you only knew what I have been through to try and buy this car. But i'll give you a hint my original deposite for a 2012 ZL1 was back in 2/1/11. But everything is good in the world now and soon I'll finally have a vin # . Opps said 2/1/12 originally in this post but meant 2/1/11 so had to edit my post. So use to saying 2012 now adays .

My understanding is that the Navigation System as well as the Blue Ray Metallic paint will be off constraint when the 2012 rollover builds are completed and the "true" 2013 orders begin production in early August.

I just wonder how many 2012's they were planning to have built when they issued the original allocations way back when to the dealers. It seemed like after the problems at the factory that the dealers were only getting around half there allocations. It's possible we could see as many as 800 to 900 roll over allocations.

Yes, the ZL1s being built now are 2013 models, but the only ZL1s that will be built before early August are ZL1s that were initially allocated as 2012 models. If one's allocation was not originally a 2012 allocation, that vehicle will not get built at the earliest until early August.

If they are producing non rollover 13's the week of 7/23, they must be assuming all rollovers will be done the first week after shutdown is over........SO, by brilliant deductive reasoning we will have all rollovers by early August at the latest

Even though his order might not be a 2012 rollover order, the allocation used for his order might be a 2012 rollover allocation, as some whose initial orders are 2013s are using 2012 rollover allocations that dealers have available.
