If the speed limit is fifty it still is. As long as they don't have it marked as a 25 mph turn.

Around here the law can take your car and crush it if you are caught racing another vehicle, whether drag racing or street racing as in fast and furious. But if you are alone more than likely you will just be fined for speeding.

Keep in mind you don't have be be racing another car to enjoy the more intense acceleration. To me, it was fun to go WOT in my old 2008 mustang gt. It is probably more fun in a ZR1, and I am sure going WOT in a Veyron could have me laughing in amusement. The moral of this story, the faster the car, the more fun it is to press the skinny pedal, and there are usually plenty of opportunities to do so no matter where you are driving

I drive a lot of canyon roads myself and I really hope nobody attempts to take either of these cars anywhere near their limits on public roads. Quick turns yes, too aggressive NO! On a track you have sand/grass if you go off and known street conditions. In the canyons you have gravel, dirt, blind oncoming traffic, animals, and if you go off the road you have trees and big drops, at least where I am. Take it sleazy on those back roads people, don't want to hear about any of you getting yourselves killed. If you are going to be reckless on public roads, at least make sure to have a scout car up ahead talking to a passenger in your car. No need to take anyone with you when you go.

You mean like they did with their quarter mile tests? IIRC, GM released its video proclaiming 11.9 on the stock tires only after repeated mid-to-low 12-second runs by various magazines/ezines.

Can you look at a chevy emblem without popping wood? ![]() Your contribution is about as valuable as your English is comprehensible. Funny you decided not to comment on the Grand Sport being faster than the z06. Very telling. Even more interesting you would bring up 1/4 mile and insideline's zl1 vs gt500 comparison, as if that has anything to do with the boss and gt500. Just keep trying to stir up crap, you do a fantastic job pettifogging any real discussion. Last edited by 8cd03gro; 06-13-2012 at 07:01 PM. |

I don't know if same day the grand sport would really be faster than my generation Z06 on a track but it could be closer than you think. In a drag race I would get killed but around a track they could be close. the same way a novice driver could drive a boss faster. the only tests I have seen the GT500 lap faster than the Boss were same day but also proffesionally driven. I fully agree though the same day tests are the best guage. then again people don't like the results. the same day skid pad number from the ZL-1 to GT500 were a landslide victory for the ZL1 yet everone wants to say they mean nothing. yet there were almost identical difffernt day to differnt day so all the ford people were like see the GT500 has the same road holding. kind of ironic from my perspective. when the first test was run the skid pad number validated the GT500. then when they did head to head same day they somehow don't matter anymore.
