I doubt it's really getting crushed. . . they could part out the drivetrain for 5 figures no problem.

I've seen some terrible accidents at the rail yard in Oshawa...I remember a limited Dale Earnhardt Edt Monty SS getting dropped between rail cars as the ramps didn't get put up. Numbered car written off before it even left the Shwa...GM wasn't happy as they can't redo the vin....I've also seen other Camaro SS and WS6 Trans Am, trucks etc...GM would donate the drivetrains to schools alot of the time.

So they have the one ZL1 that was smashed to hell and it will get fixed and sold, but this one with just the destroyed bumper will be crushed? Story sounds fishy.

Maybe different rules apply since it was wrecked before the dealership took delivery, or maybe GM didn't want another dealership trying to pawn off a wrecked ZL1 as new.

it was wrecked by a employee at the Port Of Baton Rouge (just delivered from GM), while doing burn outs in the parking lot last Friday and lost control hitting a pole !!, and now he sits in jail. The dealership was going to have it delivered on Monday and was pre-ordered !! They are told it's not for sale for any amount and to be destroyed by a junkyard !!, what a waste...
