F/S Drive Shaft Tunnel Brace

I have some drive shaft tunnel braces for sale. These replace the stock sheet metal brace, making the tunnel stronger. Custom built by Josh Schmidt Custom Fab, O/O. Powder coated, one in green and three in a single stage chrome. I put one on my Camaro! $90.00 shipped! PM me. Thanks, Josh

are these made for aftermarket 3" exhaust or is the clearance the same as factory tunnel brace?

Good question, I want to say both, yes. I just ran out to the garage and looked at mine. As installed, the top surface on this brace is in the same location as the factory brace. I have the stock exhaust on my Camaro and it appears to have 1/2" of space between the exhaust and brace. So as long as your exhaust doesn't hang below that surface, you should be good, which I don't see why it would. Thanks, Josh

Well if its the same exact position as the stock tunnel brace then it will not work with a 3" exahust. Thanks for the quick follow up though.

Just wondering why it would not?? I would think it would because any aftermarket company would not have you leave that brace out... Right? I can't see that.

Some 3" exhaust have been known to make contact with that brace and washers have been used as spacers to drop the brace for clearance. They should offer a brace with a slight drop.

Ok, I see, like I said I have stock exhaust on mine. I will offer to build some that are dropped for more clearance if someone is interested. Let me know. Thanks PAUL SS and C LOW29.

Can any one out there tell me how much lower a brace would need to be to clear 3" exhaust?? Being I don't have 3" pipes yet.... Any help is appreciated and when I get a number I will start making clearance ones. Thanks!

Thanks chernmax and infernometallicSS! Well yesterday I built three and powder coated them single stage chrome. With 1/2" drop for extra clearance if needed. I will sell them for $90 shipped also! I will post a pic soon.
