I wonder why the big confusion about the MY2012 orders that were turned into MY2013. Shortage due from the fact of extra long QC issue. Chevy to my knowlege had a target production of 3500 initial cars (MY2012). There is very little difference between the MY12 to MY13. Not to include any cars built late into 2013. Why does it sound like people expect the uh "true MY13" to be different than the first rolling off the line? (Except the constraint issues) The biggest difference between the initial cars for MY13 and later cars is the expedite to customer sales code. Chevy wants all the buyers that had a non-built MY12 to get their cars ASAP. If you look up all the changes from 12-13? Unless its a Blue Metallic (non-Grand Am pace car) you wont even be able to tell the difference unless you see the Stereo.
Not really, lol. It was my 2012 order from back in Nov. it rolled over from. And that's why I'm wondering about my rollever to 2013 still not moving.

my original order was nov 15th 2011 I was third in line they had four allocations for the 2012MY. the dealership lost the last two allocations in april. they recieved there first 2013MY allocation in may and my order was re-entered and has progressed steadily.


It went to 2000 almost instantly because they had an allocation for that DOSP cycle in may.


one thing you have to learn when dealing witht his is having the allocation and submitting the alocation are two different things yet they don't really explain that well IMO. Now if you rolled to 2000 and are through the DOSP cycle then it is basically parts issues and such from there on out mostly.

Totally agree, been thinking the same thing everytime I see 'expedite to customer' brought up.

My preliminary order showed that when it was accepted at 1100 status

Are you absolutely sure that the dealership had an allocation for you in 2012?

Maybe the reason your order did not move in 2012 was because they did not have an available allocation for you, and that is now also the reason why your 2013 order has not moved - because it's not actually a 2012 rollover

When speaking of the expedite to customer RPO code I was referring only to the ones that rolled over. I'm not sure that the later ones have been showing this code. This code comes up when the car is ordered by a customer as opposed to dealer stock. Thats all. I could be wrong for sure.
I also agree with the two posts about making sure its a MY12 allocation. Does not sound like they rolled it for you. Mine? Been right there with the very first rollovers. VIN:55 IMO they are not being upfront.

Mine has the E2C code for expedite to customer - not a rollover though and still at 2030

They said they had 2 allocations when I ordered in Nov. but it took them till Feb till they could put the order in the computer???

I'm afraid it sounds like they are giving you the runaround - demand that they show you that they have an available allocation for you.

If you are genuinely first on their list for the 13s though then I think you should get one this year, just not as a rollover order so you'll probably have to wait a bit longer.

I wish the allocation information was available to us to see for ourselves - too many dealers cannot be trusted to tell us genuine information and we sit here thinking we've ordered a car when in reality we haven't got a chance of getting it

Mine was a rollover from a 12 allocation. Word is that it should have gone to 3400 by now but I'm still sitting at 3300 according to GMConnect but I hear it's tracking isn't the most dependable. Anyone know another place to track besides Chevy.com? My only Internet is on my IPhone and it automatically redirects me to Chevys mobile site which doesn't seem to have tracking. As of now GMconnect is my only option and it seems slow to update.

Also, you can check with Becky and see if you have a TPW on the Camaro tracking/ordering thread.

Does Becky know ahead of GMConnects, i.e. would she potentially know even at status 2030?

Or do you need to be further down the line for that?
