15k preorders on an car that probably averages $30k that nobody has driven is pretty damn good IMHO. Not many people would put that kind of coin down without driving a car.

Prius is also sold in Japan, Europe and North American market. However, they only sold a little over 8k in April.

My point exactly, The purists and 4ths gens preordered no questions asked. To me, there should have been many more than that.

Not many people are going to get a loan for a 30k plus car in this economy that they couldnt drive. Even the purists. 15k preorders is pretty good IMHO with how GM dealt with it. Plus how many people are you seeing that didnt preorder the car show up on this site? Quite a few. They are stacked up on sold orders and GM "hopes" they can get them all built by Q3.

Did you see one ad for the car? One thing saying its available to order?? Nope.

GM needs to fire all of their PR department and start new. Same reason nobody has a clue what a G8 is.

With the economy continuing to head south (thanks to obama) this cars future may be limited. Remember for many people the Camaro is not a necessity, but just like the Corvette a toy. You know if obama gets wind of the Camaro he will try to kill it. Also lets hope upcoming chapter 11 doesn't hurt sales and production. Depressing isn't it.
