yes, those mirrors should be standard equipment on all vehicles

You will get used to driving this car very quickly. Blind spots are NO problem. You just
have to use your mirrors correctly and all is well.

Big blind spots over the shoulders. NO BIG DEAL. As mentioned before, Use your mirrors. There was a thread about adjusting side mirrors a few months ago. I had never done it that way before. I do now. It works!!!

I did have an issue come up today though. I took it out on a twisty road this morning to open it up some and feel how it really handles. **NOTE** I keep my seat adjusted slightly higher than most. When going thru a right hand bendie, the rearview mirror was a view obstruction. Hope this helps someone.

You aren't supposed to look over your shoulder anyways. Your mirrors are there for a reason.... use them!!! It's much quicker to turn your eyes to your mirror than it is turn your whole head and look over your shoulder. While you're doing that, you aren't looking at what's going on ahead of you which is dangerous.

This was (and still is) one of my biggest problems with my Camaro. The left side especially, as the headrest of the seat blocks the rear window. Definitely something to get used to for me, converting from a Hyundai Santa Fe. Going in reverse is the other thing that I have trouble with, as I also feel like I have so little visual guidance.

Mirrors work well I thought. Your not goign to be parking so close to another rig you need them for that, and in traffic not bad. A little fish eye and you have no worries

FJ Cruiser isn't any better. You just have to use the mirrors properly and you will be fine.

My WRX does not have any blind spots. When test-driving the new Camaro, I realized that the chunky B-pillars are the problem rather than the large A-pillars and C-pillars. The bulky B-pillars effectively block the outward view of the rear passenger windows.

There was a link here a couple months ago to a good tutorial on how to adjust exterior mirrors so you can make lane changes without having to turn your head around while driving. This is a must with the new Camaro.

One situation while test-driving the new Camaro that I felt uncomfortable: I was approaching a Y-intersection where my lane and another lane were merging at a 30 degree angle. As I approached this intersection, I turned my head to see if any cars were coming. All I could see was a fat B-pillar and large C-pillar. Fortunately the salesman was in the passenger seat. He craned his neck around to check for me.

If GM went with a B-pillarless design as used on the 2006 Camaro concept, visibility would be fine. GM went with a large B-pillar design for rigidity concerns, but the convertible will do without it. Perhaps framed windows would be enough?

Seriously, if you like the car enough the blind spots are not a problem. I drive a semi every now and then, I will gladly trade you blind spots.

Not bad unless you've been driving the Pope mobile! (anyone remember that thing with the big bubble?)

Seriously though...not near as bad as I had heard. I mean, if you've been driving the a truck and had a straight view out the back then yeah...it will take some getting use to. But adjust the mirrors and watch them like you are suppose too and you'll be fine!

That was my exact conclusion when I did a test drive today.

That is funny you. That is what I am doing. Going from a Toyota truck to the Camaro. It will take a little time to get use to but it will be just fine.
